Am I the only one that thinks reading a novel is like watching a movie but in your head? I love how writers describe things and make them so realistic. I sat on the couch with my my back resting again on the backrest of it, my knees made a right angle, feet flat on the floor, and legs uncrossed. I held the book with my right hand and the left is a black coffee I asked Margarita; the maid to make for me earlier, coffee goes with everything, books especially. The book wasn’t too close to my face neither it was too far, just leveled to avoid any headache. I always have headache when I zoom my eyes in full concentration. As if by some strange coincidence, she clicked on the novel that Elizabeth had sent her before. The novel, of course, was a serious novel, but it couldn't help but have some rather seductive descriptions. Not to mention, the character design of this novel is particularly exciting, with the tough male protagonist who works on a construction site versus the obedient and well-behaved female lead, a typical combination of a rough man and a delicate lady, full of sexual tension. For the first time, Cathedra had someone who didn't cringe every time she opened her mouth to speak. So this is what having a friend feels like, huh? Cathedra thought to herself. One lunch break, while waiting for Diane underneath the tree, Cathedra was scribbling a draft of her first novel in her notebook. The novel contained the scenes she saw in the storybook, back in her kindergarten days. Since that day at kindergarten, she didn't tell anyone what she saw in the storybooks anymore. The thought of seeing things that other people couldn't still terrified her but she tried hard not to think about it by avoiding any book she can see other than school books and textbooks.

Elle sat at her table and stared at the laptop, “A romance novel, eh?” She heaved a sigh shaking her head, “What the point it was all cliche, he ate my ears complaining how bad it was.” She pouted sulkily. She opened the laptop regardless and placed her fingers on the keyboard, she closed her eyes and took a deep sigh, “Fine, let’s give it a go,” She nodded determinedly. With the start of the novel, her fingers moved in a flow, the words went in a flow, she spent her day and night in front of the laptop, 3 weeks later, her book was done, she wiped her tears as she stared at her completed manuscript.

I read my book. The chapter resolved. Not the novel — the novel had further to go, the chapter was a chapter, the resolution of this particular architecture of tension that the author had been building. The characters did the thing. I had known it was coming, had been ahead of them for a hundred pages, and it arrived and it was — the word was right. It was the word. The thing that happened when a thing arrived that had been arriving for long enough that its arrival was both surprise and completion simultaneously.

I ask her. "Come look at my novel. You can read some chapters if you like," she said, giggling. I scanned her laptop and saw that she has almost 350 pages for her novel. That's a lot of words. "I would love to read some of it," I replied, feeling excited at the prospect of getting a glimpse into Max's creative mind. Max opened up her laptop and showed me the first few chapters of her novel. As I read through them, I was impressed by her writing style and the way she crafted her characters and their relationships.

Each book focuses on one couple, but the story is interconnected and has wolves, bears, and dragon shifters. Thank you all for taking the time to read my novel! This one has been in my head for over a year, so it's nice to finally get it all out on paper so to speak! Happy reading :) {P.S. I may consider writing kind of an epilogue/bonus chapter for this book if there's enough interest.)
