“Just be careful. We’re not the only ones looking for answers.” I nodded, already feeling the weight of the situation pressing down on me. It wasn’t just the DeLucas anymore. It was bigger. There were people in the shadows, people with far more power than I had realized, and if Nico was part of it, everything I’d been working toward could come crashing down in an instant. I spent the rest of the morning going through files and making calls, trying to dig deeper into the information Elena had uncovered. Elowen’s POV – Twilight Whispers That evening, as the last vestiges of daylight faded into the soft embrace of twilight, the academy’s grounds transformed into a quiet sanctuary. I found myself wandering along a secluded stone path leading to a hidden courtyard, a place that had once been filled with echoes of our past conflicts and now promised a fragile new beginning. The gentle hum of evening stirred in the air—a murmur of crickets, the soft rustle of leaves—and all around, the academy seemed to exhale, releasing the weight of the day.

All the chocolates this factory makes are in front of them, and these two are tasting them as if they look like professional chocolate tasters who are strongly motivated to find a new kind of chocolates. Before leaving, I bought five boxes of chocolates for Hazel and Miles, and then we make our way towards home. The sun is setting when I park the car outside the house. We all are pretty tired and worn out. The sun dipped below the horizon, leaving behind streaks of gold and crimson that faded into a bruised violet sky. Twilight settled, marking the transition from day to night. That’s when everything changed. A chill pricked at my spine. I glanced toward Kenan. He felt it too. It wasn’t just the temperature dropping. The weight on my right shoulder shifted slightly, and I turned to see Aziz my Angelic companion. He looked regal as ever, his piercing blue eyes reflecting the evening sky. Gone were the days when my grief weighed heavy. He sniffed the air delicately, his nose wrinkling in displeasure. “I can smell something wrong. It’s faint, but it’s definitely there.”

My voice broke with panic, my hands scrambling for my blade. “Quick, Eren, torches—now!” Aziz barked. Flint scratched. A torch flared, then another. Uncle Eren shoved one into a wall sconce, the flames casting long, jittering shadows. Then it happened. Our hellblades began to glow. A red pulse, faint at first, then stronger, like a heartbeat shared between them all. The glow shimmered across the stone, reflecting in our eyes. My throat tightened. “Why is it glowing already, I don’t see anything?”

Around her, test tubes were lying on their sides, some of them rolling off the surface as his dark fingers reached up to tangle in her long, curly hair that rested along her shoulders like a golden cloud. I’m not sure how long I stood there, unable to move as I held my breath, but it felt like an eternity as I watched the woman move her hands to wrap around his neck. “Kiss me, Con,” her voice was breathy, almost a whisper. “Kiss me like you mean it.” “Trillium…” he started to say. I didn’t want to see this. It felt wrong. Talking a stumbling step backward, I reached for the door handle, which rattled slightly as I pulled open the door and fled.
