The sound echoed through the room, a sickeningly satisfying noise that made Claire’s breath catch in her throat. Mason staggered back, his hand going instinctively to his mouth. Blood seeped between his fingers, dripping down his chin as he wiped the blood away with the back of his hand. But even as the blood flowed, the smile never left his face. "You should’ve stayed out of this," Ryan growled, his voice barely above a hiss, his chest heaving with the force of his anger. Mason didn’t flinch. Instead, he wiped his mouth with the slow, deliberate motion of someone who had nothing to fear. His eyes were still locked on Ryan’s, and the smirk on his face only deepened.

The corner of the paper had a doodle—a red, flushed emoji with its tongue out and a stupid grin. “Bastard,” Iden muttered under his breath. But a faint twitch of his lips betrayed him. For a moment, just a fleeting moment, he smiled.

He smiled his now signature wolfish grin and winked at me. I inhaled deeply, the acrid smell of my things being blown up and the dust made my eyes water. I tried to make the corner of my mouth curl upwards, to answer his smile, but I know that it was a weak attempt as the corners didn’t move like I wanted them to.

“I am speaking over you. You built a future you could not escort down a stair. That is useful information. For me. For anyone still deciding which door is safest.” Aurora crossed the floor. Isolde held her ground until Aurora’s hand closed on her jaw, not quite a strike, a correction. “Smile again and I will give you a reason that has nothing to do with policy.” Isolde’s breath hitched. The smile did not fully die. It only went inward, which was worse. “You need me,” she said against Aurora’s fingers. “You need every remaining belly in a room you can still lock. Kill the look on my face and you still have to walk me back to a cot. That is the comedy.”

Chapter 11: Meeting Him Again "I know, don't mention it," and she flashed a fake smile. But eventually, we broke into laughter and even had a high five. "I feel so fake, yuck," then she acted vomiting which made me laugh harder. "Are you alright?" she asked and my laughter instantly subsided. "I hope," I couldn't hide my pain instead of flashing a fake smile I looked down. She walked toward me and wrapped her arms around my body.

He has a small dimple which pops out whenever he smiles or grins, which makes him look like a cute bunny and it just increases the beauty of his features. He seems to look younger, more free and relaxed when he smiles.7 "You really have a vast collection of them," I say admiring them all. "Its nothing. You should see my collection of choppers and my car collection. I have thirty extra luxurious cars standing in my garage right now in New York."

There was Milli, my friend standing beside me and noticing my drooped down face. "Yeah! I am fine." Adjusting my viel, lifting up my face I answered correcting the withered face and trying to structure my lips in form of a smile. Smile is an action which has become foreign to my face, my lips seem to forget its natural laughter and now they struggle to even remember and fake it.

I stepped back and his livid grey gaze met my green one. He chuckled, laughing it off to his friends, but I saw the flat line of his mouth, the darkness in his eyes. That was when I thought it would be smart to take a step back. "I-it's just a way to welcome you into the family." I managed a shaky smile. At this point, I was scared for my well being. I was about to leave, but his arm wrapped around my waist, pulling me into his body. He bent down to whisper in my ear, ruining my dress as well, with shaving cream.

The smile lingered while Carolina was still cracking up on the floor. Carolina didn't see it The short and faint genuine smile of relief Adrian's face. He got up and left without a word "Where did you learn that?" Carolina asked, her voice still toned with laughter. Adrian sat in his study, leaned back in his chair thinking about that smile.

She staggers back as the figure keeps advancing toward her, his features becoming clearer with each step. Eleanor's eyes widen as she tries to figure out who the masked figure is, her mind racing with confusion. As she watches the masked figure's face was twisted into a mischievous smirk, his eyes glistening with a threatening look that makes her blood run cold. Her phone slips from her trembling hands as she stares at him in horror.
