"All that beauty wrapped up like a gift I'm not allowed to touch." He steps in close, his fingers finding a strand of my hair. He drags it slowly over my shoulder, the movement intimate and calculated. My breath catches but I don't move away from him either. His mouth dips toward my ear, his voice dropping to a rasp. "You know what I like about dolls?" His breath ghosts over my skin. "They always break in the prettiest ways, and I want to see how fast I can ruin you." Heat coils low in my stomach. I glance at Silas and he flashes me a lazy wink and gives my ass a firm squeeze.

“You looked like the world was ending.” “It felt like it.” My hands moved down his chest, exploring. “Your turn.” He kissed my forehead, then my temple. “I almost quit last year. Burned out. The quiet gets heavy sometimes. But then this girl kept showing up, asking smart questions about old manuscripts. Made the days better.” “Me?” I asked, smiling. “You.” His lips found mine again. This kiss had heat behind it. His tongue brushed mine, and I melted into him. My back hit the bookshelf gently. A few books shifted but didn’t fall.

My friends sprinted toward me from the entrance. “Mona! What happened?!” Cici grabbed my shoulders, eyes frantic. “You’re shaking like a leaf!” Sasha scanned my face. “Did someone hurt you? Your neck—there are marks!” I pulled away, fumbling for my phone with trembling hands. I flipped the camera to selfie mode and stared at my reflection. Normal. Completely normal. No claws. No fur. Just a terrified girl with red-rimmed eyes and fading fingerprints on her throat. What am I becoming? I whispered

whimper Ruby. "Dear child, you hold such great powers, that your beauty was hidden by the "ugly" spell." "Ugly Spell?" "Yes. I was hoping that the prince would be able to see through all your ugliness and love you for who you are. I was hoping he would break the spell for you. However, he seems to be the type to love the outer appearance more," said Grandmother Willow. She turned away from Ruby and started to cry. Tear streaks fell onto her pale face.

I really am starting to feel like an old lady that only knows how to sigh all day long. I did a warm-up before finally deciding to go to bed after washing my hair and body thoroughly. As an introverted person, I was still very keen on cleanliness; I hated dirtiness the most. Even the second sequel to Beauty Kills the Doll had me twitching my lips in disgust because my favorite doll was covered with dirt. It was such an infuriating thing. But what can I do? They were acting and the doll was not even real, so they treated the doll like shit.

I'm sorry I can't make everyone happy. Therefore, I appreciate the support of readers who enthusiastically followed the book and witnessed the development of Heather and Blaze's characters. It's nice reading a story about a badass and unbeatable main lead. However, the imperfect one wants to be heard, too. Their story has ended here, but it won't stop our imagination from continuing the new chapters in our minds. Once again, thank you. I hope we meet again in my upcoming book. Love, Ximena West

she muttered, her eyes fixed on the book which was so dusty and crisped. Quickly, Lilia sat on her bed and flipped through the first page, her curious eyes glanced through each word. This book was a gift bestowed on her on her ninth birthday by Mama Gunad, the book that contains the legendary story of the cursed werewolf no human has ever laid eyes on. With a racing heart, Lilia flipped through each page as the first three pages failed to mention the name of the werewolf.

Fear gripped her, but beneath it, a spark of that forbidden curiosity ignited—stories come to life, just like in her books. The doll approached the bed on unsteady legs, its small feet pattering against the wooden floor. Up close, its lifeless face unnerved her, painted lips frozen in a perpetual smile. But those eyes burned with something hungry, something not of this world. A dark spirit, Lila thought wildly, her mind racing to the fantasy tales she loved. The doll climbed onto the bed, its tiny hands reaching out. They were cold, smooth porcelain against her warm skin as it crawled toward her. Lila recoiled, pulling the sheet up like a shield.
