Suddenly— Someone shoved her. Her phone slipped from her hand and landed on her lap. Elowen froze in shock. She slowly lifted her head. A young girl stood there, probably younger than her. The look in her eyes was cold and condescending. Elowen frowned. The girl didn’t apologize. She only gave Elowen a look of disgust, let out a slight hiss, and walked away. Elowen inhaled deeply. She didn’t want trouble. This was her first project. She swallowed the anger and picked up her phone.

But why did my chest still hurt every time? Corbin's phone rang. The ringtone was the song Ingrid had sung during our college prom. The look in Corbin's eyes softened at once, his expression turning gentle. "What is it, Ingy?" Ingrid's voice could be heard from the other end of the line. "The hotel here is full.
