Chapter Seven Cairos’s POV The Sky Gardens were one of the few places in the Underworld where people could still forget about the world that had ended around them. Artificial filled the enormous glass dome above us, casting a warm glow over the gardens while streams of clear water moved between the rocks and strange flowers grew along the walking paths. For a place built beneath a ruined world, it looked almost peaceful. Zuri had been enjoying every second of it. She moved from one flower to another, asking questions and pulling me toward anything that caught her attention, while I followed behind her and allowed her to enjoy the day.

Levi did not disappoint either; just as he helped with Joseph and Ethan, he was also up to the task. They all stayed in touch and tried to keep the peace in their world. Amber and Levi had done an excellent job with Linus and Kate, and they had finally died from malnourishment two years after they were locked in the underground cell.
