The place was gorgeous, framed energy drink adverts lined the walls above glossy white ceramic tiles, and the tops were black marble. “You did these?” I asked, pointing one out. “Sure did.” He smiled at me, and I’d have relaxed completely if I hadn’t felt the heat of Max behind me. “Wine? Spirits? Soft drink?” Soren raised his eyebrows. “Power-up lime, the drink of champions?” I smiled back. “Water, please.” He took out a mineral water, one of those posh ones in glass bottles, dispensed some ice from their super cool fridge-freezer, and handed it over in a twisty glass. I sipped, and my throat was tight with nerves.

“What is that?” Blaze smiled. “It’s called a Montana Sky. It has lemonade, elderflower gin, and lavender syrup. Want a sip?” She offered it to Amerie, who hesitantly sipped. Her eyes widened. It was sweet and refreshing, and reminded her of a spring day. “Wow.” Amerie said. “I’m definitely getting that next.” Blaze grinned. “Careful. It’s almost as dangerous as my shop.” She winked. Amerie couldn’t help but laugh.

I replied taking a sip of my water as checking on Jason through the corner of my eyes. "Sex in the driveway" I choked again on the water. "What?" I asked alarmed. "It's a variation of Sex on the beach. It's a drink don't worry" he gave a mischievous smile. "Oh," I facepalmed inwardly. The bar attendant handed me a bright blue drink just like the deep blue waters in front of me, with a slice of lemon on the drinking glass and ice cubes floating on the top. I took a tiny sip from the straw provided. It is a bit sweet with peach, orange, lemon, and sprite. The soda bubbles give it a lighter feel that makes it refreshing.

The flattened peel sprawled across the counter like a half-dead jellyfish. I could practically imagine Julian standing there in the middle of the night staring at his own terrible life choices. Thanking him, I begin grabbing glasses down for everybody. "What should I get out for everyone to drink?" I ask. "We have a pitcher of fresh lemonade in the fridge. If that works for you then I am sure that we could all drink it and we could just keep the pitcher in the middle of the table." He suggests. I have to admit, I love lemonade. It was always one of my favorite drinks as a kid. When I get it out of the fridge, I am so excited to have some again that I cannot wait and pour me some. Taking a drink, it is better than I remember. Crisp, refreshing, not too sweet and not sour either. Perfect. Sighing, I set my glass down and go to try and help Dante cook dinner.
