I could see Cole, sitting on the dock, shirtless and delicious, watching us. Emma saunters over to him and plops down next to him. Damn that girl is relentless. He poured the liquid into two cups, and garnished each with a lime. “What is it?” I asked, smelling it. I didn’t smell any booze or anything weird. It actually smelled like lime, ginger, and pineapple. “I can see the halos on the two of you from a mile away. I call it Virgin’s Paradise. It’s basically a Pineapple Moscow Mule, but without the vodka. It’s got crushed up lime and pineapple suspended in ginger ale. Simple, sweet, and perfect for people who don’t drink alcohol.” I sipped it. It was good. I would have never thought to put pineapple with lime and ginger ale. “Damn,” Rose said beside me.

Beside the bowl, a glass of cold lemonade sparkled with condensation, tiny droplets running down the sides. "Here, the farmer’s wife says you remind her of her daughter.” Jelo says and I look back, the farmer wife waves at me. I wave back at her and I smile. “I remind her of her daughter? The scent of the sweet strawberries mixed with the tangy aroma of the lemonade makes my mouth water. I take the glass of lemonade first, the coolness of it is refreshing as I sip. The tart flavor is something I never thought I would crave. The sweetness bursts onto my tongue as I bite

She pushed something into my hands. “What is it?” I asked, holding it up so I could read the label without Nora burning me. “Lemonade!” “If you can’t drink, none of us are!” Veronica smiled at me through the mirror. “You don’t have to!” I appreciated it, but there was still some guilt for it. “It’s a struggle to not smoke right now….” Amelia rolled her eyes. “Somehow I’ll manage though.” With a deep sigh, she smiled at me. “Careful now.
