World of Tomorrow

World of Tomorrow

Kristen Leeevelyn evans
“Didn’t take you for the type lady likes beer, so I fixed you a limeade. Should still go nicely, but if you’d rather the beer—.” Snaking the bottle away from Andrew as he slid into his seat, she took a tentative sniff at its glass mouth. The lime scent was strong, but not strong enough to overpower the brewed liquid beneath. She gave her head a tight little shake. “No, thank you. The limeade is wonderful. This is all wonderful. Thank you.”

I've barely been able to put this story down. I absolutely love it. I love how descriptive the story is. And it has made me want to have been able to go to that World's Fair. It is a beautiful love story and I can't wait to finish it.

I am only to Chapter 22, but this book is Amazing so far and by far my favorite. I love historical fiction and this piece is a gem. I read the Author's book about Grace and Juliet and just had to jump right into this one as some characters are the same.

Daddy's Issues

Daddy's Issues

He looks up, smiling at Lucian. Liam Monroe: Good morning, lightweight. Lucian chuckles as he walks over, and Liam hands him the cup. Liam Monroe: Lemongrass. Tastes better than coffee. Lucian Slater: Thanks. He raises the cup at Liam as he smiles and nods. Lucian Slater: I'm not exactly a fan of coffee, so this is a pleasant surprise. Liam Monroe: A pleasant surprise is you not using your drunkenness to try and have sex with me.

Yours Truly

Yours Truly

he asked, then added, “I get to deduct it from my taxes.” His smirk was too much for her to handle. She giggled softly and then conceded, “Maybe a little fruit drink. Something kind of festive, but non-alcoholic.” “We have an amazing pomegranate lemonade,” the waitress offered and Kat nodded her approval. “Make it two. And go ahead and add some little umbrellas, just for fun.” AJ said to the waitress. “Of course,” the waitress replied. “And can I bring out any appetizers with those drinks?”

He poured the liquid into two cups, and garnished each with a lime. “What is it?” I asked, smelling it. I didn’t smell any booze or anything weird. It actually smelled like lime, ginger, and pineapple. “I can see the halos on the two of you from a mile away. I call it Virgin’s Paradise. It’s basically a Pineapple Moscow Mule, but without the vodka. It’s got crushed up lime and pineapple suspended in ginger ale. Simple, sweet, and perfect for people who don’t drink alcohol.” I sipped it. It was good. I would have never thought to put pineapple with lime and ginger ale. “Damn,” Rose said beside me.

His assistant replies "The court letter was sent by the owner of ZoMeR Law Firm." Mr. Hooda adds in "ZoMeR Law Firm, it's Asia's one of the best law firms and if I'm not wrong its owner is a female." Aditya's assistant nods his head "Yes sir, but her name is not known to anyone as she is a low-key person." Mrs. Hooda "Whoever she is, because of her my son came out of the problem, I'm just happy about that." Aditya orders his assistant "As we are leaving next week so you prepare all the documents which we'll need for negotiation, also mail me all the locations which we'll need to visit and book your ticket also as you'll come with me."

Stay the Night

Stay the Night

It was hard to imagine how I’d come to take it all for granted, but evidently I had. Aston was right. The jet really was something else. “Okay, you got me. It is kind of awesome.” Smiling wide, she shrugged playfully and flashed me a wink. “Well, you know, kind of.” From the bathroom, she shot to the bar and looked around, sighing. “I’m not even a big drinker and there are so many things in here I want to try. Is that real Limoncello?” I nodded. Dad had a thing for buying liqueur from the countries he visited, and then ordering the stuff in if he liked it. “From the Gulf of Naples, if memory serves. Dad was there a couple of months ago to scout new locations.”

Alpha's slave, the eternal submission

Alpha's slave, the eternal submission

Beside the bowl, a glass of cold lemonade sparkled with condensation, tiny droplets running down the sides. "Here, the farmer’s wife says you remind her of her daughter.” Jelo says and I look back, the farmer wife waves at me. I wave back at her and I smile. “I remind her of her daughter? Does this dress belong to her daughter then?” I ask. “Perhaps, their daughter is dead.” Jelo says. “Oh, poor thing.” I say. The scent of the sweet strawberries mixed with the tangy aroma of the lemonade makes my mouth water. I take the glass of lemonade first, the coolness of it is refreshing as I sip. The tart flavor is something I never thought I would crave. The sweetness bursts onto my tongue as I bite

"Nah, it's cool. Thanks, though." Lacy set her phone down on the patio table and finished rubbing sunscreen on her arms as Hannah walked over and took another sip from her lemonade. She handed the bottle to Lacy who nearly spat it back out. "What the fuck, Hannah? Is there vodka in this?" "Yeah, it's ~HARD~ lemonade," she said with a grin. Lacy took another sip. It wasn't bad. "I didn't think we were getting turnt today." "We're not -- just a little tipsy is all. Gotta cut loose, enjoy our spring break."

THE ALPHA'S CAPTIVE

THE ALPHA'S CAPTIVE

At midnight, Killian would be staring blankly back at me if we were to discuss this. His blond head shakes. Dan, it wasn't delivered with it. But there are plenty of lemons here. "Kil, lemons are not limes." His lips smudge. And if Grady overhears you trying to tell me that they are, you will be the next thing he squeezes. Killian quickly closes his mouth. We both turn to look at Grady, the master mixologist, as he serves us two Long Island Iced Teas. The pub feels less like a club filled with dancers doing shots than it will in a few hours since the strobe lights over the vacant dancefloor have not yet turned on.

The Million Dollar Marriage Deal

The Million Dollar Marriage Deal

I shot Dylan a weird glance. "The fuck is this, man?" I glanced at the drink and smelled it. The drink smelled sour, and that thing you put in cooking spaghetti. "What drink is this?" Vanessa asked in a stagy voice and pushed the drink away. "Poor people will never know what it is, girls. That's tequila." Dylan rolls his eyes and gets a slice of pizza. "Tequila uses a lemon, not a Calamondin! Are you poor?" My brows furrowed and pushed the drink aside again.
