The waiter worked swiftly as he placed everything on the table. A steaming bowl of chicken alfredo was placed in front of me as well as a large glass of raspberry lemonade. The drink was a gorgeous shade of vibrant pink. Thin slices of lemon and tiny clumps of frozen raspberries floated freely in the glass. The plates were cleared and two chilled glasses of drink were placed on the table. The pale yellow liquid caught the light, and I eyed it suspiciously. “What's that?” “It's called Limoncello. Trust me,” Xavier said. “You'll like it.” I hesitantly took a sip and savored the taste. “It's nice.” I took another before I could stop myself. “I like it.” “Good. Since that's settled…” Xavier reached behind him and brought out several boxes wrapped in elegant ribbon. “I bought a few things for you.”
