He continued to pull me further away from the hospital until we found a small park just close by. There was a blanket spread out over the grass under a huge tree with a bag on it. "Surprise," he said, "I know it's not much but I can't exactly take you anywhere far from the hospital considering your condition," he said sheepishly as we both sat down. "It's still perfect," I answered. "I really missed the Sun," I smiled. "Anything is seriously better than being stuck in that hospital room." Nick chuckled, "I thought you'd say something like that. Jules smiled and gestured me to go. As I walk my thoughts fly again. I also plan to visit mom in the hospital today because I’m sure her surgery is over. I quickly got to the locker room and quickly searched for my number. "2405, 2406, 2407,2408! Gotcha!" I smiled as I opened my locker but stopped suddenly when I saw an envelope in it. The aspirin was useless. Not because it didn't function anymore, but because Vanessa found that she didn't need it after all. Her migraines died out after her talk with Jake and they did not return. When she woke in the morning, she grabbed her phone to see if Jake had texted her, while half-praying he hadn't texted her. But there was no message from an unknown number. She frowned, a little disappointed, and she did not understand why she felt disappointed. She sighed, dropped her phone and rolled out of bed.

However, it was as if he were shooting at thin air, as not a single bullet came close to touching her. He waited, his pistol still in hand. His eyes flickered toward the alarm button on the wall, and he made a dash for it. But before he could reach it, his wrist was severed, blood spurting forth. Drenched in sweat, he attempted to cry out in pain, but his head was swiftly separated from his body, colliding with the wall.
