Bankrupting the Alpha: Crowned by the Dragon King
The ground beneath my feet was soft, yet it gleamed faintly, each blade of grass polished to perfection.
I turned slowly.
Flowers bloomed across the clearing, but they were no flowers of flesh and petal. Their forms were carved from gemstones—ruby petals catching fire in the sunlight, sapphire blooms glowing like captured oceans, emerald leaves whispering with quiet life. Even the stones scattered across the ground looked shaped, refined, as though no imperfection had ever been allowed to remain.
Nothing here was wild.
Nothing here was accidental.
Everything had been made.
Or perhaps—
Everything had become.
