She looked up at the underside of the desk. "What has 13 hearts but no other organs?!" She screamed at us. Megera and I looked at each other, and then down at Rana again. "What?!" Megera shouted back, his face full of frustration. "It says here.. There's a sentence written underneath here... It must be a clue." Rana answered, her eyes narrowed on the riddle again. Meanwhile, my brain was working overtime to solve the sentence. 13 hearts... 13 hearts... No other organs...

" I frowned at her while she shook her head in fear. "No sir, she is not feeling quite well so she won't be able to report today." She dropped the bombshell the same time my heart skipped a bit. "What the hell happened to her?" I hollered with eyes as wide as a saucepan. "She is suffering from a heart disease." She knotted her hands together. "What the hell are you talking about?" I slammed my fist on her table, making her panic. "Her boyfriend broke her heart so she is mentally unstable and she is nursing her heartache." She looked at the floor, fear evidently written on her.

But. I was still hoping I guess, that we would be able to work it out. I couldn't hate him, even when I had every reason to. After all, he was the only man I had ever loved. And he was the only man I was going to love. Because the heart is a bitch, you can't make it understand by reasoning with it. It forgets all the hurt someone caused you, all the pain, all the misery. It only remembers those moments when someone made you breathless. Over and over, it just runs toward one person. And unfortunately for me, that one person was Landon.

I walked calmly, keeping my heart and body in check for a minute until I was totally out of sight from her and now in the men's restroom. Rob scrambled to her side in a panic, helping her sit up while scolding me, "Dorothy is your fiancée, no matter how much you dislike me! You can't treat her like this!" "Shut up!" Dorothy's fury snapped. For the first time, she turned her anger on Rob, wiping the blood off her lips. "Fiancée? What a joke! If he wants to marry an actress, let him! But before that, she needs to get on her knees and apologize to me!"

She kept begging, "Joseph, I was wrong. I won't dare to do it again. Now, it's just the two of us in our family. We only have each other. Please forgive me. I'll obey your every command…" He did not look at her. He only talked to the bodyguards. "Bind her to the bed!" he ordered coldly. He took out a scalpel and slowly unbuttoned Yvette's shirt as she watched in terror. "This heart belongs to Wendy. You don't deserve it, so you should return it to her," he said. "No! Are you out of your mind? I'll die without this heart!" yelled Yvette. Yvette was finally afraid. She had always been adored by her brother.

She groaned, "fuuuck.. you're wet." I giggled, "I know..." "Are you ready?" Before I could nod my head, all my senses came back and I could hear the song again.. "....My heart beats, for you, girl you know you are the one. Why you mad at me? Girl I know I made mistakes, I know I fucked up. But my heart beats for you baby I'mma go 'head scream it loud. It was just one word, one word and I'd leave to the street to buy tobacco, or call Nora to have her buy it for me with her freshly turned eighteen years. Tippa yells vigorously. Surely, Ross woke up to the hysterics of her screaming. He quickly hopped up from the chair where he had slept with his mask on his face, which he had practiced wearing every night since the beginning of the pandemic. Ross's heart was racing and filled with fear. He looked over at her with his mind in a hazy fog as he became fully awake, realizing she was no longer unconscious.
