Slow at first— then faster. Like something on the other side is bleeding into this space. “That’s not possible,” I whisper. “It shouldn’t be,” Leon agrees. “But it is.” The system glitches again. More violently this time. “CONTAINMENT BREACH DETECTED.” “Yeah, no kidding,” I mutter. The wall gives way completely. Shattering inward— and suddenly— the room is no longer sealed. Not safe. Not controlled. Because beyond it— is something worse. A corridor.

“I chose myself.” A tremor ran through her. “And something else answered.” The far wall split open with a sound like bone snapping. From the fissure crawled darkness—not a lack of light, but a wrongness that bent the light away from it. The air thickened, humming low enough to rattle teeth. The bears behind them snarled as one, hackles raised, ancient instincts screaming threat. Hale stared at the rupture in stunned silence. “…that’s not part of the project,” he breathed.

I know everyone is talking about what happened yesterday and I know, they will continue to talk about it until the next big thing happens. When I make my way to my locker, and when I put in the code and once its open, there is a loud pop and suddenly, I feel cold and wet, and I am covered in something cold and sticky. When I look down at myself, I am covered in. I don’t know what the hell this crap is, but it is horrible, it smells awful and its so sticky.

"The way those slacks hugged him... makes a wolf want to do more than just growl." "Enough," Mateo snapped, the sound of his locker door slamming shut echoing like a gunshot. He didn't want to hear it. He didn't want to think about Lyon’s sharp, observant eyes or the way the man’s throat had worked when he tried to maintain his composure. Mateo loathed the journalist—especially after Lyon’s report on a barroom scuffle at the Neon Wave Club had cost him three months of the season. Lyon had painted him as a mindless brute when he’d actually been defending a pack-mate.

I didn't notice that I already started leaning against the window because I felt like closing my eyes after. * * * "'Cause we've got no time for getting old, mortal body timeless soul. Cross your fingers here we go. Oh oh oh!" I woke up because of the noise coming from the voices of people. When I opened my eyes, I saw that we're still in the middle of the highway but it seems like we're the only one to pass by here. I also noticed the radio playing the song that they are singing to. I looked around and then Cassian caught my gaze.

“See? Basic stuff.” Blaine and Adelina were strolling through the garden and around the house that Wednesday afternoon. He had asked her to narrate what it was like when she was unconscious. Some of the patients he had treated explained sob and quite horrifying stories of their woeful experiences in the 'dark room'. While only a handful had peaceful moments. Adelina seemed to have experienced a little bit of both. "Is it odd that I want to go back to that place? I mean, sometimes I just miss that peace and quiet."

I can't see anything due to the fact that that it's dark outside and there are no artificial lights in the room. I tried to get up but failed and ended up falling on the cold floor again. I groaned in pain due to the sudden fall. What the hell?? Why am I unable to move? What the hell is happening to me? It feels as if I'm drugged. I tried to crawl with all the power I could muster up and try to grasp something when I hit a corner of the room.

Taking another deep breath, I grabbed the handle, twisted it, and pulled on the door. Nothingness surrounded me as I looked into the pit of abyss. The darkness was so overwhelming, I felt scared of the dark for the first time in my life. My legs carried me away from the opening and next to the frame of the door. “What's wrong?” A voice asked me from the darkness. I take a few more deep breaths before answering. “Nothing, its all fine. What do I do now?” “Now, it just takes practice. After a while, you will be able to open your walls within seconds. Now, though, we're going to work on getting a supernatural ability into you. Is the door still open?”
