Novel & Cerita Lyon By Jordan Silver

“This is the agreement you need to sign before becoming the Luna. Sign it. Hurry up! We can arrange the marking ceremony later. Lilith is still waiting for me.” Alexander tapped his fingers impatiently against the wooden table. Even at a monumental moment like this, his mind was entirely occupied by Lilith, who was currently suffering through her full moon heat. Only the herbal broth brewed by his own hands could soothe her agonizing pain. I stared down at the ancient, weathered parchment, a sudden chill seeping through my fingertips.

"Subtlety is its own kind of strength." Liora, seated cross-legged beside a potted vine, tapped her fingers to her lips. "Wanna see something?" she whispered. And then, like she'd breathed life into it, the vine shimmered silver and unfurled a single, blushing flower. Her laugh was breathy and bright, and when she looked at us, she glowed faintly at the edges. Literally. "She does that all the time," Mirenya mumbled with a mock eye-roll, perched upside down on a throw pillow like a bat. "Photosynthesizes compliments too, I bet."

Lyon gives a low chuckle, "It's nothing crazy, just a little extra money…..and another evening spent together for old times sake. “You were pretty sweet the other night, you see?” He sucks in his lower lip and gazes all over his body seductively. Anger rises in Cordelia, making her vision blurry. Her voice is low and poisonous as she steps closer. "You believe you can blackmail me into sleeping with you? Again?” With an unwavering smile, Lyon shrugs. “Manipulation? What a nasty word. I would refer to it as an incentive. Unless you're prepared to reveal to the world that Louisa's plight isn't just the result of terrible luck.”

Everyone turned to look at each other. My heart was still pounding as I watched with anticipation as I wondered what would happen next. I wanted to tell Jacob to run away. He and his men because I knew how fierce Alpha Damien was in battle. He had never lost a fight before but before I could speak, Alpha Damien grabbed Liza, my best friend.

He then looks up, “Mummy?…” Killian doesn’t get to finish, and neither does Jess as her eyes lock on me being dragged in by her son. Our shock seems to be broken as I hear a gasp from over next to the stove. I turn my eyes in that direction and then lock eyes with Jade. Killian drops my hand and runs over to Jess as he asks, “Who is she, mummy?” “That is Yasmine, Killian, she is your Luna…” Jade seems to say without really thinking.

"Nope, they can try." I'd already ascertained that the house was clear for lack of a better word. There were more live bodies here than the freaking MET but I didn't sense that mob boy and I were in any danger. Add the fact that the Mallory boys were here and that brings it down to a danger level of point zero-zero five. But that Lyon guy is...something. I know kill lights when I see them. "Oh dear I'm so sorry, I didn't notice that you were wearing an aid, are we being too loud."

She hissed at me as she went to open the door for our first pack Alpha. “Alpha Theodore Bronx, Alpha of the green woods pack, I brought my sons, Thomas and Timothy as one of my boys will be the next Alpha I hope you don’t mind Luna Riverwood.” A man’s voice said. I couldn’t see him from my seat but looking to Charlotte this was the reason she was here tonight. “Welcome Alpha, come on in. We are having everyone come to the sitting room to meet her so please follow me.” I heard the Luna’s voice come down the short hallway. I stood not wanting to but trying to make this go as well as it could. A tall man with black hair followed the Luna into the sitting room, I of course recognized the boys

My lungs ached and I was not even sure when I transformed into my human self. And my human body felt even more timid in his hands, like a little mouse in the hands of a huge gorilla. The moonlight shone on his fur and I saw it shining like it was made of pure silver itself. Silver was said to be a bane to us werewolves but probably lycans were not affected by it. I looked up into those large silver eyes that reminded me of someone. But what was he doing here? Was it really Jasper? I had never seen him in his Lycan form but those eyes looked familiar somehow.

*THE END OF BOOK 1* BOOK 2: The Lycans’ Luna: Dryad of The Elden Wood Will come soon ;)

And somewhere in the dark, something old and hungry is watching, waiting for me to decide who—and what—I will become. I open my mouth— —and the air shivers. Not violently. Not explosively. But unmistakably. Silver light coils around my fingers, slow and deliberate, like the magic is responding to my emotions whether I want it to or not. Gasps ripple through the courtyard. I stare at my hands in horror. “I didn’t—” “I know,” Caleb says instantly. “You’re okay. Breathe.” But Lydia smiles. Just a little. “See?” she murmurs. “She can’t control it.”
