Despite my initial hope for a shift from enemies to lovers, their interactions consistently devolve into heated arguments over seemingly trivial matters, leaving me both frustrated and exhausted by their ongoing drama. I've been talking to my dad more lately, hoping to make it home for Thanksgiving break. Still, he hasn't given me a response. I think he's dragging his feet, maybe worried I won't get that funds are tight and a flight home isn't easy to swing. It's a bit sad, but I get it.

And all the happiness comes crashing down. Immediately a text comes in Unknown: you're testing my patience mia figlia, I need you home now I'll send a car to your location and it should arrive now. I have given you enough time to come home yourself but you chose to defy me.

A text message from an unknown number. *I don't have to come over; you're the one who'll come to me.*
