Suddenly. BEEP BEEP. A bright pair of headlights washed over the alleyway, illuminating us against the brick wall. Our Uber had arrived. "Time to go," I gasped, pulling myself back to reality with a violent, frustrated jolt. I smoothed my dress down, my legs trembling so violently I could barely stand. I sigh again, the sound heavier this time, slipping past my lips without permission as I lose count of how many times I have done that in the last hour alone, it feels like I am trying to breathe out something lodged too deep inside me, something that refuses to move no matter how much I try to push it away, and eventually I force myself to stand because sitting here is only making it worse, my thoughts growing louder in the silence as I drag myself toward the kitchen in search of something simple to ground me Ramen sounds easy, something warm, something familiar, something that does not require thinking, and right now that is exactly what I need because I need something normal to remind me

"Take care of yourself." At the time, he had still been fuming over her pushing Alyssa, so he hadn't bothered replying. His fingers hesitated over the keyboard before he typed out a message. "Why aren't you home? Did you go out? Where are you? It's late. I can come pick you up. Neo told me you threw away all those things you bought. I actually liked those little knickknacks. They brightened up the place. I'll have someone go retrieve them…"

I whisper. “You have until tomorrow.”

“Jasper. I need you to come home. Immediately.” Great. I thought. Now what?

But they promised they would visit soon. After a few hours, we finally landed in LA. it's been a while. How much I've missed it. "Welcome home, baby girl." I saw dad. I ran towards him and hugged him. "Dad, I've missed you so much." I cried. "Not as much as I've missed you. Come on, everyone is waiting for you." As soon as we arrived everyone yelled welcome home. I was so happy to see everyone. But I didn't see one person.

"Come on, let's finish this so that we'll get to bake on time." Few hours later, Mrs. Pulgo is back to pick up her son. As usual, he throws a fit before he finally leaves with the promise of getting ice-cream when next he comes. Immediately after clearing the blankets, Tristan comes back home looking as exhausted as ever. He goes upstairs to freshen up then Charlie begins making dinner. After setting the table, she goes up to call Blurin. That's when she hears the doorbell. "I'll get it!" Tristan yells from downstairs before Charlie knocks on the door.

There is no - thing that I have tonight, but I'll be damned to stick around while they do whatever it is they're clearly going to do. They barely acknowledge me as I leave but I have zero problems with that. I have a bed and a bottle of wine waiting for me at my new home.
