Upper Moon 2 Novels & Stories

Chapter 11: Found! While there are three types of Alphas, there are only two types of Omegas. The ordinary Omegas and the Lunas. Lunas are the embodiment of the Moon mother in wolf form. It is said that a pack where a Luna surfaces is a blessed pack. The life of a Luna cannot be taken. The only way to kill a Luna is to absorb their power, then kill them. Since a fully developed Luna is even more powerful than a True Alpha, the only person who can absorb their powers is a Supreme Alpha. Now, Lunas are not as scarce as Supreme Alphas, but they are not common either. Because while Supreme Alphas are made, Lunas are born. In the whole Blue Moon, there were only three known Lunas. They were said

We bent to read the plaque. "Luna Jessica of the Blood Moon pack, the second of the pack to be Corrupted, victim of the Silver Hands." the plaque read. "Your mother," Mabel told me. She walked to a cabinet I hadn't noticed and got out a round, white rock. It was big enough to fit in the cup of her palms. "Moon rock," she told me. "Harnesses the light of the moon. It captures moonlight, and releases it when the user needs it."

He reported and I just walked out. A few hours later, we returned, and I decided to retire to bed for the day. I was getting depressed with each hour that passed. I slammed my door shut and hopped on the large bed, ready to close my eyes only for a knock to widen them. "Okay, what is it?" I said and beta Joe walked in looking distressed. "There's a problem Alpha! The weapons at the southern end of the Blood Moon pack have just been stolen." He reported and I jumped out of the bed in shock.

“That’s none of your business. Also, you’d do well to remember that she is your future queen.” “Aye.” Mason looked out the window. “I meant no harm. I just don’t want you to lose your Pack because you have not yet taken a Queen and Mate. After all, the Blood Moon—” “Is quickly approaching. Yes, I’m quite aware.” I let out a deep breath. “But that’s not for another three months. There’s another full moon coming tomorrow night, and Brenna is a potential Luna.” That got Mason’s attention. “Seriously? How do you know?”

We turn at the same time to see Luka stepping out from the forest, his gold-tinted curls blowing about his face, his brown eyes wide with wonder at the sight of the river. He walks past, still not seeing us. Darius and I look at each other, then scramble up to follow him. Luka stops at the top of the river embankment. He passes his hand over his eyes. When he drops his hand again, he opens his eyes and they are a milky grey colour. The glow disappears from the sky and in the darkness a full moon rises. Not just any moon. I recognize this moon. So pale, so clear, it appears as if behind a layer of ice. The first full moon of the new year. The Wolf Moon.

There was a legend though long ago about a silver wolf that became the embodiment of the moon. He hadn’t known much about the legend behind the silver wolf, but Maddox had filled me in with the rest. The legend goes that a wolf had been blessed by the Moon itself because the wolf was a protector. It had been gifted with renowned strength and speed that the wolf became known as the Ghost wolf.

The high ceiling was covered with black cloth, which would be luminated by light projector, making it look like a sky full of stars. Olive was raving about it this morning, but she couldn’t help after school because she had to take her mother to the clinic. So, she listed all the stuffs that needed to be done today and sent it to me. A little advice for those who bore missions from Olive Hartwell: do it right or have her knock on your door at night just because you put the wrong size of cups on the table. At the same time, Mom also sent me the list of groceries I had to purchase for the Full Moon. ‘Nathan will pick you up and help you shop,’ she ended her text with the sentence.

The full moon shone brightly in the night sky, casting a mesmerizing silvery glow across the land. Alpha Galan, stood at the edge of a cliff, his keen eyes fixed on the radiant lunar sphere. It was on this sacred night that he could call upon Selene, the moon goddess, his mother, and the divine being who bestowed him with his extraordinary abilities. As the moonlight reached its peak, a celestial aura enveloped Alpha Galan, and he felt a surge of power coursing through his veins. He raised his arms to the heavens, calling out to his mother, the moon goddess, with a melodic incantation passed down through generations:

"They have no idea what they’ve done. They didn't just give me my sight, Audrey. They gave me a reason to burn their world down." Outside, the rain stopped as abruptly as it had started. The clouds parted to reveal a moon that was no longer white, but a shimmering, brilliant silver—the mark of the True Luna’s awakening.

This feeling was exciting. Finally, the sun completely disappeared, and a crescent moon accompanied by countless stars illuminated the sky, arrogantly shining down with a light that belonged only to them. The uncomfortable hot wind became more bearable, gently brushed by the moonlight, providing a more relaxed sensation, refreshing the soul. Emma followed Mason and Omega Hana back to Beta John's house. She saw Jennifer excitedly rushing over, grabbing Emma tightly. His eyebrows were raised, showing an expression of great joy as he said, "Young Miss, there is great news!"
