What the hell—” He didn’t get a chance to finish before she lunged at him, shoving him back against the wall. “I said, run!” Her eyes met mine for a heart-stopping instant, and I froze. She knew. It was her who sent the raven. How long had she known I was alive? Isaac recovered quickly, pushing back against Zelda. Zane jumped into the fray, trying to hold Isaac back while Zelda fought to keep him pinned against the wall.

"Her energy. It pressed down on mine. It was strange. It has never happened to me before." Rosita's eyes widened. She turned, searching for Scarlett in the crowd with her eyes.
