“Hahaha—” Stephen suddenly laughed in anger. After a few laughs, he raised his hand and slapped himself hard. Smack! Once. Smack! Twice. Tears swirled in his eyes, but he did not seem to feel the pain at all. Adam and his assistant grabbed his hands, shouting, “Calm down!” Stephen’s laughter disappeared. He began to cry softly. Then, the crying grew louder until he was sobbing uncontrollably like a child.

The heat of the water brings warmth back into my blood. Behind me he lathers shampoo into my wet hair. His fingers massage my scalp. He pours water on my head to wash it off. When I close my eyes, I see the other car flipping into the air and crashing upside down. The shattered glass, the bent metal. My eyes snapped open. CARL Jade burst into tears the moment I finished speaking. The loud, choking sobs tore out of her throat and filled the quiet rooftop patio. Her shoulders shook violently as she covered her face with both hands. Tears streamed down her cheeks and soaked into the collar of her clothes and her whole body trembled with the force of the pain I had just dropped on her. I stood there frozen, watching her break down right in front of me. Seeing Jade cry so much made something inside my chest crack open.

He didn't seem to get the joke at all. Uea laughed again at that. However, he suddenly froze. His eyes widened as he felt the collapsing feeling from his soul. Uea's body trembled from fear. Facing Vesper again, tears shimmered in his beautiful eyes. He shook his head, trying his best to force his words out.

*Sydney Roswell's POV* — "No, please don't cry. It's okay. You don't have to worry about anything. Look at me." I hushed OJ when she cried and kept on apologizing to me. I rubbed her back while she hugged my core, sitting on the floor, and sobbed.

His men widened their eyes. "Stop crying, or I won't let you see your friend." "I-I'm trying, but the tears keep coming…" Manuela cried, unable to stop. "Aish! You're not mourning a dead friend; she's fucking brea—" Uno didn't finish his sentence when Manuela hit his chest. "Tss! Calm down. Crying doesn't suit you.
