I answered as I zipped the bag that contains my tools, solar panels with batteries, lights, and the girl nodded her head in response. "You know what, Mia, if ever I would be trapped on an island with you, I know that I will live healthily and without worry. With all of these things, you seem like you are gonna have an escapade. Isolation from the rest of the chaotic society. That would be so magnificent. Right, Tes?" Valerie expressed while doing her thinking pose where she looks at nowhere and tapping a finger on her chin.

ZANE When someone had tried their best to satisfy another person, even giving up things they love in the process only to realize that it wasn't worth it in the end, it was inevitable to feel uncomfortable. Just by looking at the expression on Valeria's face, I knew that that was her exact state of mind at this particular moment. She asked me how I knew. Well, it was in the investigation report my men had submitted before I approached her. In there, were photos of her participating in various adventure sports - skateboarding, rock climbing, bungee jumping and even motorcycling!

"It’s Valerie. Can you believe it?" The 'Valerie' Brody was talking about was Valerie Wes. She is the daughter of Elder Gerald, one of the pack elders and also one of the many persons that most pack members wanted as their mate because not only was she pretty but she was also well mannered. And let’s not even start with her grades. Valerie wasn’t a beauty without brains. Valerie Wes was Elder Gerald’s pride and joy. It was like she had it all and now the moon goddess had given her a perfect mate like Brody. Just great!

But she said she made it clear: Tania would never get close to her or our children ever. Admittedly, Tania seemed to have improved, and was working towards becoming a better person. But that didn't mean Valerie had to trust her again, or forget everything she put her through. "That's good," I murmured against the shell of her neck. "I'll be worried if you are within ten feet radius of her." She giggled, shoulders shaking in my arms. "I'm sure she can't harm me now." Valerie had grown to be such an epitome of strength and resilience. I watch her everyday, carry on her role as Luna and manage her foundation with so much passion, and I could not be more proud of a person.

“You need to stop treating me like I’m the enemy and putting ideas in Valerie’s head about Bria. She’s my mate. I know you have no clue what that really means, but someday you will and then you’ll give me a proper apology.” Vesper glares at me balefully, fists opening and closing. I know he’s itching to fight me. The only thing holding him back is his fear of losing. “Valerie is a lot stronger than you’ve ever given her credit for. I would never send her anywhere I suspect she’ll be in danger. Adrienne can ride Tyra’s mind, she can’t take it over. I sent Valerie because I trust her and because I know nobody can spend time with her and not grow to love her.”

They parted, the creaking of the house groggily waking around them—the smell of freshly baked bread wafting from the kitchen, the soft clinking of their maid as she set breakfast out on the table, the gentle hum of a day breaking not in turmoil but in peace. Much later, in the sunroom, Valeria saw the headlines scroll by on her tablet: “Supermodel Valeria Page Retires to Focus on Advocacy for Women’s Safety.” The photo attached was one Kc had taken—no makeup, no stage. Just her, on their balcony, a quiet smile on her lips. He came up behind her, coffee in hand. “They’re already reacting?” “Some fans are heartbroken. Some are proud. Some think I’ll be back.”

Valerie screaked. "Aaahhhh... Oh my god...!" Crying and lamenting in so much pains as Stephanie stood there smoking and enjoying the sight before her with a satisfactory face and left the kitchen afterwards. While sobbing Valerie reflected on her life for the past few years and how it has been nothing but pain and all she wished for above everything is to find peace. The only way to find this peace is if she could get to meet her mate one day who she had always believed would be her liberation from this torture.

And besides, she won’t be doing it alone. Valerie entered the room clad in workout leggings and a fitted hoodie which made her appear strangely ready for the situation. You ready princess? ” she teased smirking at me as she set her bag down on the chair. Today I have the opportunity to serve as your personal trainer. Fear not, my approach shall remain gentle toward you. The possibility exists. ” A guttural sound of displeasure emerged from my throat. “You? Why you? ” Valerie positioned her hand upon her chest in an exaggerated display of faux indignation. Excuse you but I am the most qualified person here. Chelsea kept adding more lies to the issue on ground, adding more diesel to the burning fire. Valerie faced a lot of embarrassment and humiliation from people including the pack members. They came to her house for thorough search, and ended up turning her house upside down. Anywhere she goes, people keep pointing fingers at her. She cried her eyes out, lost appetite to food which made her lose weight. Chelsea was watching from afar and was happy. She didn't visit her.
