I whispered to myself. Suddenly, there was a weird hot sensation coming from the necklace. It’s not so hot that it could hurt me. It’s just hot enough for me to notice it. I touched the pendant and looked at it. The full moon in the middle of the pendant lightens up and an even weird thing happens. A print of a creature suddenly appeared on the moon. My heart started beating crazily when I realized it was a dog. No. It wasn’t a dog. It looks more like a wolf. What the hell is happening?

The heavy object seems light in my grip as it soars through the air. The force of the hit vibrates through the lamp up my arm. Taken by surprise, Maxwell bends over, holding his head in pain. I see my chance and make a dash for the door, but luck isn’t on my side as my fingers fumble with the lock. As Maxwell becomes silent, blood rises to the top of my skull. Panic makes the worst of a person come out. My fists pound wildly on the door as my screams finally escape my mouth. A growl of anger sounds behind me. His voice comes out harsh and strained. “No one will come running, Charlie. You’re at a vampire party in a gated community. These rooms are purely occupied for bloodlettings.”

I got to his house and decided to play some tricks on him, I started changing the light in his sitting room to different colours. I can see how scary he was, I used my necromancy power to break his plates and anything breakable in his kitchen at least he will die today, even when I finish draining his blood I will still demolish his apartment so as not to leave any traces for investigation.

That’s when I smiled. I didn’t need to touch him. I just needed the appearance of closeness. I loosened my robe slightly and lay beside him on the bed, careful not to wake him. His scent surrounded me , warm cedar and musk it made my heart ache with something between envy and obsession. Reaching into my pocket, I took out a small vial of shimmering dust — a glamour charm one of my mother’s witches had given me. A few drops on my skin, and it would leave faint traces of scent and aura that matched physical contact. Enough to convince anyone who saw us in the morning.
