AVA'S POV “For a queen you are, you're getting a bit too comfortable with these humans,” Rowan whispered, his breath tickling my skin and his voice husky and laced with a hint of warning. My gaze narrowed, eyes flashing red with a hint of danger as I took in his words. “And what makes you think so, my love?” I purred, my voice dripping with sweetness as my fingers trailed his bare chest down below to his hard member. Just as I ran toward the door, my bare foot snagged on a piece of glass on the ground and blood spattered around me. I yelled out in pain, nearly falling to the floor. My foot throbbed from the cut, and I heard the vampire gasping. When I turned back, I saw the hunger in his eyes. He opened his mouth, revealing fangs, and his breathing grew immensely. Dark swirls covered his face, and his eyes were black like the night sky. He lunged toward me in a quick motion. I managed to grab the door and pull myself out of the room, slamming the door shut just as he reached me. He ran into the door, but it snapped off its hinges as he did so.

I folded my hands across my chest and frowned at him in both confusion and annoyance. "Stop-just-" Alex huffed in frustration before covering his face with his hands and letting out a sigh in exasperation. I was about to say something else too but stopped when I heard a few girls groan and my eyes snapped towards the crowd. I noticed Joey, Franklin,danny and other vampires digging their fangs into the girls neck, sucking them hungrily and I could feel my eyes widening at the sight. They were doing it in public? Why? It was already getting dark, we were supposed to go home.

SARAH'S POV I sat there in the cold dark alley for quite a while and not even a rat passed by, I was starting to get scared when I heard faint laughter, more like a chuckle from afar. These pouches were the only thing stopping me from pulling Lena close and sinking my fangs into her neck. When I opened my eyes, I found I was not alone.
