The blade itself was crafted from what looked like obsidian, a material that seemed to absorb the light around it. As I stared at the weapon, I couldn't help but marvel at its artistry. The blade was adorned with symbols that I didn't recognize, a language of magic that spoke to something primal deep within me. The hilt, too, was a thing of wonder, decorated with delicate carvings of wolves that snarled and bared their teeth with a savage grace.

The bone blades in their hands, coated with wolfsbane, glinted an eerie blue under the moon. Their bloodlust was almost palpable, shaking even Velda's mint pheromones and forcing her claws to emerge. Suddenly, the four bone blades whistled through the air. Ulrik dragged Velda back into the room, slamming the door behind them. He bolted it with his wolf-like arm, while Velda swiftly extinguished the light. In the darkness, their wolf eyes glowed faintly. Ulrik and Velda stood back-to-back, their tense jaws reflecting the cold light.

I caught the unit by the high-collar of its suit, my fingers crushing the reinforced plating, and slammed it into the granite fireplace. The stone cracked. The Harvester’s head caved in with a dull, wet thud of hydraulics. Silence rushed back into the room, heavy and jagged. I stood over the wreckage, chest heaving. The Phantom Blade dripped with a mix of synthetic fluid and the faint, silver sheen of my own blood where the kickback had nicked my thumb. I didn't look at the kills. I looked at my hands. The silver threads weren't just lacing my veins anymore; they were burning through the skin of my wrists, glowing with a violet light that refused to fade.

Recently dropped. The blade itself bore a small, familiar sigil near the base, etched, so finely you could have missed it if you didn’t know where to look. A stylized fang. Nightfang’s mark. Rin’s hand went cold around the hilt. “Kael,” she said quietly. He turned. His gaze dropped to the knife, then snapped back up to hers. The line of his shoulders went rigid. “Is that—” Talia began, peering over Rin’s other shoulder. “Ah. Shit.”

Blade emptied two magazines into another before it collapsed, twitching, whispering with a voice that wasn’t its own. “He sees you.” “He wants you.” “Alpha… come home.” The words hit like psychic knives. My wolf surged forward, the edge of my control fracturing. I felt the bones in my arms strain, claws splitting through flesh. My vision flared crimson. “Venom!” Blade barked. “Stay with me!” But it was too late. The beast wanted blood. I hit the nearest hybrid so hard its metal spine cracked. My claws ripped through its chest, tearing wires like entrails. I didn’t stop until it stopped twitching.

I told the Phantomhive, praying that my sunlight power could save him from the poison that lay in his blood. Why did she have to use a diamond blade? This would have been so much easier if it was silver or steel.

Tangerine demanded, on guard. The man held up his hands in a peaceful gesture. "My name is Blade. I'm a hunter, but I'm not here to fight you. I'm here to help." Tangerine eyed him warily. "Why should I trust you?" Blade sighed. "I know you don't trust hunters, but I'm not like the others. I've been tracking the rogue vampires, and I know that they're planning something big. Something that could destroy everything." Tangerine frowned. "What do you mean?"

In his brawl with the rogue, three vampires launched themselves over him. Blaze growled louder as he flung one of the vampires off his back once he got a grip of him and swiped his claws at his neck, sending his head to roll off his shoulders. The other two vampires refused to budge. Blaze dug his claws into their backs. They screamed in pain but didn’t let go of him whatsoever. Blaze didn’t notice Jayden sneaking up to him. Before he could brace himself, Jayden shoved a knife laced with silver in his stomach and jerked it out before shoving it back in two more times.

And it will be impossible for them to destroy the true enemy - the Beast! John inspected his blades and stroked them, especially admiring the sterling silver engraving that showed up as soon as he held them in his hands. The Blades recognized their Master, their Creator. The engraving on one of the blades read: "Ta - revo" - "I am death." And on the other: "Ve'ol, E'khor!" - "Fear, Beast!" "My blades," Black whispered, still holding his blades in his hands. - How, it turns out, I missed you!

She gasped out in pain and soon I lost awareness of what I was doing. Camille's loud screams brought me back to reality and then I let go of her wrist which was pale white. She crawled away from me, gripping her wounded wrist. "What the hell, Blade!!!" "I'm sorry." I said, confused. "So what am I, Camille?" She rose up and washed her wrist under the tap and then injected herself with sowmthign before returning to the mat. "Am I a Vampire?" I asked, terrified. She laughed. "No, Blade. You're a wolf but not an ordinary one."
