Forms blurred dance—draw, cut, sheath—bodies colliding controlled violence, each brush electric foreplay. Shoji rattled suddenly, splintering shadow-intrusion. Five figures burst ink-black—board rebels, faces twisted vendetta, tanto knives glinting malice under dojo lanterns. Leader snarled Japanese filth, blade arcing Kenji's throat. She still held her sword, but now was dressed in robes. She looked about the room and saw hundreds of vampires, lined up neatly, dressed in white robes, with glowing blue eyes. They stood patiently along the wall, silent, at perfect attention. Caitlin dropped her sword in the empty chamber, and it landed with a clink. She walked slowly towards the head priest, reached out, and took from him a huge silver goblet, filled with white blood. She drank, and the liquid overflowed and poured down her cheeks. Suddenly, Caitlin found herself alone in the desert. She was walking barefoot on the baked dirt, the sun beating down her, and she held a gigantic key in her hand. But the key was so big—unnatur

Her heart pounding madly, she began to decode it all. It began to dawn on her that this was not meant to be an entire book. It was meant to be one word per page, meant to spell out but a few sentences. A key. A code. A message, for the initiated. Meant only for the one who knew how to look. Caitlin checked off the words as she turned page after page, and she remembered them, and in her mind, sentences began to form: The last vampire will arise after 2,000 years have passed. She will rise across the ocean and will be named for the color of blood. To enter the city, one needs a key. And the key can only be found here.

Its position afforded the clerk an easy view of the entire space, should he choose to look. I stared in disbelief at the tattoos of vampires that looked to be covering most of the clerk’s arms and neck and wondered if he had them on the rest of his body as well. He looked annoyed at our interrupting his reading when Shen handed Stevenson’s note to him. He grudgingly pointed to a door in the back corner without saying a word before burying his face back into the pages of what looked to be a horror novel.

Kyle opened it quickly and swirled inside. Aidan was sat at his desk. He swiveled in his chair and gasped when he saw Kyle standing there. “Can I help you?” he said, adjusting his glasses. Kyle pulled up a spare chair and sat himself down, his face uncomfortably close to Aidan’s. “As a matter of fact, you can,” he said. He smirked as Aidan leaned back, trying to get some space between them. It was then that Kyle noticed the book that lay open on Aidan’s desk. He hadn’t been able to read all that well in his human days, but he could still recognize the word vampire.

I sat on my bed and leaned on the headboard before taking a deep breath. I wasn’t being delusional. I saw it, I saw that his eyes turned red for a second. I just shook my head and tried to get it out of my head. I got the book that I borrowed from the library. I remembered that this book was from Zion, the one he said I’ll like. The main character was a female vampire who had just gotten off of her transition. I’ve read some pages and I stopped when I realized something. Some of the information was familiar to me. I went back to the other pages to read it again.

Reina smiles in satisfaction, yet with a hint and shadow of a cunning one as a snap echo and a pentagram is formed from the air and on the top of her hand, as a book perfectly landed unto her hand and purposely showed it with the title and the words. “BLOOD RESURRECTION.” Ringing the name of not just an ordinary book covered with the tainted black and mark with the picture of blood and knives. Kyle smiles in a twisted way and once more, as he knew and live within that book, wherein it is the second book of the original world’s Shinzo Dimension. “Seeing your smile and that very grin, I guess I do not need to explain further what does this book holds, am I right, Kyle?”

“We’re bound by blood, vampire.” I smirked. “That doesn’t make you my master.” “it does” he said shortly, eyes darkening. He stepped back slowly, pulling his weird scent with him, and I let out a breath I didn’t realize I’d been holding. Raiden moved toward one of the shelves, pulled a book down, the book about the sword, he flipped through it absently. “Whatever you’re looking for, you won’t find it tonight.” he said his eyes fixed on the book.

The bookshelves were neatly arranged with various books, some in human characters, while others were in a language I could not read. Noah pulled a few books off the shelf and walked over to me. "This is the Blood language, which is what humans call the vampire language, and it would be good for you to know a little bit of the Blood language when you are with me." Noah said, then went to a sofa chair and sat down. I stood by and looked at the book in his hand, which had words on it, none of which I recognized. There was not even a spelling method either. "Sit over here."
