"Do you know them?" Dante asked Dae in an emotionless tone reading papers of business. "No, I don't. " Dae answered. "The big man came to get the little one and they wanted to give me some...companion." "Fine. Do you like it, the companion?" "..." Without having an answer, Dante didn't ask more and continued to mind his own business. The little Dae looked out the window counting the raindrops. It seemed that he was enjoying more the silence.

I moved the jacket back all the way off her shoulder but saw nothing like what he spoke of. “You won’t be able to see it, but I can,” the vampire shrugged. He parked next to the elevators, waiting for us to get out but I didn’t even reach for the door handle. “What the hell are you talking about?” I snarled. “He marked her. You mark your mates, or whatever, with a bite wound, right?” I brushed the spot where I marked her as my mate. “Yeah, what about it?”

“Made by his own hand.” Darrick’s mark is four interlocking stars, and is much more intricate than any of the vampire marks I’ve seen up until now. “He has an interesting mark,” I say. “Yes, he does.” “What is yours?” Aldric smiles and holds is hand over the piece of paper. A faint white light engulfs the scrap of paper, and when he removes his hand, his mark is edged into the page next to Darrick’s. It’s an upside down triangle with a horizontal line through the narrowest part. Simple, like every other vampire’s mark. “Why is Darrick’s mark so intricate?”

“Even me?” I rolled my eyes. So he did know how unbearable he was. “Even you.” He stepped aside, letting me see the layout of his board properly. “What’s all this?” I stepped forward. “I’ve been going over the hunter attacks. The pattern’s shifted,” he said before pointing tk a certain part of the board. “The vampire side… it doesn’t line up anymore. Something’s off.” I frowned. “You think the vampires are lying?” “I don’t know. Maybe.” He ran a hand through his hair. “But even with more guards around the estates, they’re still getting to wolves. Especially those living among humans. That’s the weak spot.”

“How did your animal react?” “It was fi—” I paused, blinking. “Well, it came out and tried to mark her.” “As in a mating mark?” Ricky’s face goes pale. “Did you give her a mating mark?” “Well, it tried, but there’s no bond. I would have felt it.” “You gave her a mating mark during intercourse, and she drank from you.” Ricky looks white as a ghost. “I’m not following you.” “Do you know what it means when vampires drink during intimacy?” Ricky demands.

Colton signaled, and the door of the cage opened, letting that vampire come out who had challenged show Colton his place if he would come out by saying that ‘even dogs considered themselves as a lion in their area. “You’re so dead now.” The vampire hissed. “Trust me, and I had heard that before,” Colton said, looking at him casually. “PAIN” He used his power on Colton, who stood unaffected in front of him. The vampire looked at him in confusion until Colton’s mystical tattoo, known as the hunter's mark, located on their right arm, started appearing at Colton’s wish. This mark was invisible to all save for supernatural hunters or potential hunters until that hunter wanted to appear it or not.

“The boy has been taken to London as well, they have retreated so I’m guessing it’s because that little worm thinks he can make waves now that he has the Princess. But guess what we’re going to show him that he is still a pathetic Lycan and kill him.” Did he think the girl was stupid, maybe she was. I would have to sit back and see how this played out if Marks failed me again. Well, that is one less pain in my ass I will have to deal with. Making vampires is rather easy, it just takes time to train. Marks has been a vampire for several hundred years, how he survived this long is beyond me. I was more annoyed now than before the conversation. I don’t think Mark is doing what he’s supposed to

It was the bond mark of a vampire which had inked the side of my neck in cool, deep blue waves. “You like it ?” a female voice giggled through the new formed mate link.

Yet everybody I had met since leaving had been so sincere and helpful. A strong pain hit me and I whimpered. Gerwulf raised my arm and I saw that my veins had begun turning black and the wounds from the bite was now seeping a thick tar like substance. He placed a small pail underneath my hand as he continued holding onto my arm. "Venom," Gerwulf mumbled to himself as he watched my arm start to turn black. "It's how a vampire marked their meals and mates. Sort of like how a wolf scented their's."

She had a smile on her face, moving close to me. “I asked him to fix this place up but he ignored me till you came. I guess you do bring colour to the pack,” she expressed, and when I didn't say a thing, she sighed. “I'm sorry about yesterday. It's just that you were asking so many questions and some things are too complicated for you to understand. I know you want to understand the mystery of the white wolf.” She sighed. It was there she got my attention. “Well it's a Lycan royal symbol.” She expressed. “A symbol of power,” she continued, and then smiled. “Doesn’t really matter though. It's not that relevant to me anyways,” she concluded, and then touched my shoulders.
