That was when his eye caught sight of the small patch around his neck, just below the ear, someone could mistake it for a birthmark, but he had seen it before, those people who had died after a vampire attack had the same mark. Ishmael was now sure what had killed Elise's family, it had to be a vampire and it was close-by, walking in the open. The Vampire might even be amongst them right that moment. His brain already pointed to the culprit but his heart was yet to accept this, there was no way his only daughter could be married to a monster who could kill her in any second.

He muttered after how foolishly I failed to keep the secrets inside my heart. I was supposed to hide it from him about my feelings for her but things changed when I noticed he had hired a few vampires soldiers to kill her during the engagement party. He was someone who would barely speak his mind and do whatever was profitable for him. He told he needed Debra to help vampires with the potion and yet he had sent an assassin to kill her. If I hadn't watched those soldiers carefully and if Stephen hadn't heard their conversation while they were planning the scheme to kill Debra before the party, I would have lost her forever.

A chilling shiver went up her back. Her heartbeat accelerated thumping like a war drum in her temples as it traveled down her spine. She whirled around again looking from one suspicious shadow to another and around the alley. nothing. Nothing at all. However the instinct that had prompted her to accelerate her pace a few minutes before was now yelling in the back of her mind alerting her to the fact that she was not alone. She called her voice more firm than she had imagined Whos there?. Even from a drunk or a thief she nearly hoped for a response—something concrete to face. “Oh, that is very clever. Not many would survive a bite.” Howling sounded from all around. The vampire dropped me, and the others ran off. Madison stared big round eyes at me. She whispered, “You’re a vampire. This is your fault.” I woke up screaming, clutching my throat, gasping for air. Overwhelmed by fear, I shook. In the darkness of my room, I felt him watching me. I reached out, hoping he was there, not caring if it was someone here to kill me. I reached out, I could hear his heartbeat, smell his scent of earth and smoke.

“You think I’m crazy, but that’s the only explanation that makes sense.” I scoffed. “You sound like a conspiracy theorist. Vampires don’t exist, and you’ve got to stop reading all those fantasy books.” Before she could say anything else, I grabbed another slice of toast and breezed out of the apartment. My condolences to the victims, but vampire attacks were just so stupidly unrealistic. Like creatures of the night actually existed. Right, sure. “Mr. Vale’s not in right now.” Celine said at the reception, looking me up and down.

Leon explained and handed the gun to Akira. Akira upon hearing him explain understood the situation and became serious. “Alright, then adjust my position, vamp,” Akira said with determination to kill. When Leon adjusted her, she immediately felt an unfamiliar heartbeat. It wasn't coming from her but from Leon. It was beating so fast and loudly. She felt how weird it was now that she felt his heartbeat. Just recently, she knows of him as a vampire whom she detests and now, he has a heart that beats just like hers.

Nick and I nodded, “Do you accept your position as queen of the vampires and relinquish your life to the vampires as a hybrid?” “Yes.” “NO!” Mara yelled, but we continued, “Do you accept her as your queen, lover and mate?” Mandy asked Nick, he nodded, “Yes.” She took a knife and cut my hand first and then Nick’s, “This is the blood oath, this will bind your souls together for eternity.” She then muttered words in another language that sounded romanian or greek. She then placed our hands together and Nick bit my neck; I winced at the sudden pain but it soon disappeared

Shiera laughed at his expression and said, “See… even you couldn’t resist not look at my body…’’ she paused… “Blake,’’ she added in a teasing voice, giggling inside her mind. “Stop daydreaming, Shiera, I rather suck your blood than being seduced,’’ he whispered. “What did you say?’’ she confusedly asked and Blake drew out a teasing chuckle. He clenched his hands into a fist and went straight to his office, getting rid of his cravings. “What do you want?” he talked to himself. He was having a hard time battling with his body’s desire, sucking human blood was against his will, but he did it. He hated himself, he was only fortunate that Veronica, the girl he saved never told anyone what she saw

She watched him intently reading her schedule. “Go back to your classes. I'll see you later mate," he said and gave her the schedule back. He disappeared into the thin air leaving Cassandra all by himself. “That fvcker,” she cursed under her breath and stomped her feet. She breathed deeply and looked at the ceiling, realizing something. Her mate is no other than Sebastian Alistair Blood and worst of all he is the vampire prince. Cassandra doesn’t know if it’s possible to be mates with a vampire. Cassandra was lost in her thoughts. She heaved a sigh and left the room. She went back to her classes as the break was finally over.
