Elijah said complacently. “Let's begin the interrogation, shall we?” Marissa said turning toward Zachary, he reached for his face as she forced a grin. “What happened in 1976?” She questioned. “I would have loved to torture you to death but since they have compelled you. Answering my questions wouldn't be a big deal, would it?” Her lips stretched into a side smile, she glanced at Elijah. “The founding members of the hunter community were slayed by vampires.” Zachary admitted.

I ask, and I watch Talvin nod his head yes. On his eighteenth birthday, Talvin had asked for one thing: to become a Vampire and be mated to Sydney.
