Then Sheldon's father, Patrick Clem, jumped in, pointing his finger at me like a judge at trial.
"I knew you were trouble. We told Sheldon not to marry you, and look! I was right. You're shameless. Absolutely shameless!"
He whipped out his phone and started dialing. "Sheldon, get over here right now! Your wife's cheating, and we caught her red-handed at the hospital!"
Ken didn't even flinch. He just slid his arm from my hand to my shoulder, pulling me close. His voice was low, almost amused.
"Well," he whispered, "guess we finally get front-row seats to some drama."
