There were five of them including Drusilla and they all looked about the same age except for one little girl. Why would a little girl be allowed to hunt? I know these are vampires with abnormal ageing but still.. They must all be Drusilla’s and Dexter's siblings. Their parents must be waiting for them to finish up and bring them their own dinner.

They were siblings, but he hadn't known she existed until about 300 years ago when they were searching for the lost ones. The lost ones are those who had a tinted bloodline. The vampires didn't know they existed until his friend Arden had accidentally found one of them about 500 years ago.

I run as fast as I can and feel a pang in my heart as I get further and further away from my mate. "Is my mate feeling it too?" I ask my wolf. "Yes," she says sadly. "Don't worry, Jenny. I'll find you another mate, someone who will truly love us. And I have an idea of who it is," I say hopefully. My wolf just nods and we sever the connection. "Oh no," I say anxiously. I sniff vampires. I'm alone. It will be harder for me to eliminate them. Finally, I reach a familiar place in the forest and then I see a vampire. He has black hair, pale skin, and red eyes.

I looked at each of them slowly. “What if I told you there was another way?” The youngest blinked. “What way?” “Leave.” They stared at me like I’d just suggested flying. “You’re joking,” one of the others said. “I’m not.” I leaned forward slightly. “Join us.” The tallest wolf narrowed his eyes. “Us?” “We have wolves,” I said. “And vampires.” That got their full attention. “Vampires?” the seventeen-year-old blurted. “You’re fighting with vampires?”

I looked back and saw Tyler charge forward, a huge number of werewolves rushing behind him. I quickly kicked the vampire in front of Aunt Belinda in the crotch but she was dragged away by someone else. Sarah took up her daggers and also started defending herself upon seeing the reinforcements.

After a few minutes of shuffling and some other odd noises she finally found the phone again. “Darling! I was just thinking of you,” she cooed. “How lucky for me. Any updates,” I said, getting annoyed. “Yes there are a few that are actually quite uhm, disgruntled. Two in particular, a pair of sisters that are desperate to leave. One is mated to a vampire and that’s frowned certainly. I offered to help get them out, for a fee of course,” she said, surely with a huge grin. “What the hell did you ask them for and don’t lie to me,” I snapped.

The team huddled closer, their fear palpable, but I couldn’t let them scatter. “Hold your ground. Watch the shadows.” A blur erupted from the darkness, a male vampire with crimson eyes charging straight for Hansel. My instincts kicked in. I lunged, tackling the vampire mid-stride, my shoulder screaming as we hit the ground. His claws raked my arm, drawing blood, but I pinned him down, my weight crushing his chest. He snarled, fangs gleaming, his strength unnatural as he thrashed beneath me.
