Vanessa Raven Novels & Stories

She left her room and tiptoed to the kitchen where she made herself coffee before sitting in the dark living room to drink it. "Hmm tastes good" She said reminiscing on today's scenario. "Raphael" She chuckled on saying that name. She had been the architect to the disappearance of their vamps but the blame could be on the memebers of the alliance. She's exactly the badass in the game and by now someone should have known what she was but what exactly? Raven or Raven's cohort? She turned on her laptop and surfed through the Internet for a while before writing an article against Carly. "I wonder if I am doing this for myself alone or for Luca as well. Pttff! I won't believe Luca is exactly diff

I muttered quickly, but then I looked up. She wasn’t someone I recognized. A woman—no, a young lady, maybe a few years older than me. Strikingly beautiful. Long black hair, skin like porcelain, eyes so sharp they almost glowed under the dim light. She smiled, but it wasn’t the kind of smile that reached the eyes. “Nice to meet you, Esme,” she said immediately, like she’d been waiting for me. My brows furrowed. “Do I know you?” She tilted her head slightly, amused. “I’m Raven,” she said. “Your brother’s wife.”

“And now, whether it is today, or tomorrow, or next week whenever…Debrassy will keep coming back until he finds out the truth for himself.” As she opens her eyes, bright and blue, with the lights of the tower shining behind her, she looks otherworldly as she tells me her deepest truth. “My name isn’t Addison Archer,” her voice is small but strong. “I am Vanessa. Vanessa Addison Vandersteele and for some reason, the Debrassy family wants me dead.”

Raven knocked. The door opened a crack. A woman's face appeared in the gap. Old. Wrinkled. Tired. Her eyes were sharp, assessing. "Yes?" "Yelena Petrov?" "Who is asking?" "My name is Raven Wolfe. I need to talk to you about the Vlad family." The woman's face went pale. She tried to close the door. Raven wedged her foot in the gap. "Please. I just want to talk." "I have nothing to say."

“Damon!” “Stop it,” a soft voice interrupted. A young lycan woman appeared behind the guards. She was slender and graceful. “Leah, he will not see you. The child’s death has shaken the noble houses. He needs rest before he has to face the council tomorrow.” It was she, the public mistress of Damon, who was once Leah’s best friend — Clara Mooncrest. For five years, Clara had been on Damon’s arm. In the eyes of the world, Clara had become the actual Princess Varkos. On the other hand, Leah was dirty laundry to hide away.

My eyes traveled higher to my exposed neck. The ruined skin on my neck stared back at me. It was red, uneven, and blistered in places even now. A stranger looked out from the mirror. Short ginger-red hair. Haunted brown eyes. The scar that marked the death of Raven Moonshadow. I studied her—me—longer than I usually allowed. The woman I had been was gone.

“There you go Raven, this may not be that bad.” “Fine, bye.” Raven hung up before he could say anything. She jumped in the shower, she would go see Oliver at his office and apologize for last night. An hour later she was walking to the front desk of the secretary. “Back again Miss Victoria? I do like that color on you.” Raven smiled sweetly, she was wearing a pale lavender dress that ended above her knees, “Thanks and I love that green cardigan. Is he in?” Tammy smiled pleased, “Have a seat dear, I’ll see if he’s busy.”

Aurora paused, looking Vanessa up and down with a cool, Parisian detachment, "...wearing gold." Vanessa blinked. It wasn't the response she expected. She expected deference. Or confusion. "Vanessa Leigh," she said, her smile tight. "Vice President of Cross Empire Fashion. And Liam’s... right hand." She emphasized the title. VP. She had climbed the ladder over Aurora’s corpse. "Charmed," Aurora said. She didn't offer her hand. "Ariane Rousseau." "I know who you are," Vanessa said, taking a step closer. "We've been reading about you all week. The 'angry' designer. The woman who hates color."

When she saw the serious expression on my face she quickly shut her mouth and looked at me to show she was listening. That is why I always thanked God for giving me such a wonderful best friend like Tiana who understood me very well. She was like my younger sister and I really cared for her. Right now I was also a bit worried about what she was going to think about me. "Tiana, I'm a half Vampire half Werewolf princess by the name Angelina Riana Rivera Wolfen." I said to her after taking a deep breath. To my utter amazement the girl just bust out laughing.
