Novel & Cerita Vas Blackwood

The moment we reached the border. I stopped. They weren't ferals. They were Dreadhowl warriors. At the front of them stood a familiar black wolf. It shifted and moments later, Vilkras Blackwood stood before us. Our eyes met and the air turned colder. Vilkras slowly looked around the valley, his lip curling with barely concealed disgust. "So..." "This is where the great Kaelen Blackwood has been hiding." I didn't rise to the bait. "State your business." I muttered.

“That’s him.” Nathan Blackwood. I recognized that face instantly. CEO of Blackwood Industries, headquartered in New York. The man was always in the news. His face was plastered all over the business magazines I loved to read. He was tall, like his cousin, Julian—handsome, with the kind of presence that commanded attention, even in a photograph. And his fiancée—Kimberly—she looked exactly like me. I swiped back to her picture with trembling fingers, my stomach twisting in confusion and disbelief.

"What's that supposed to mean?" "You remember Victor Blackwood, don't you?" "I do." "He had dealings with your father. Strictly business, until it went wrong." "What went wrong?" Ava wanted to know. "Victor mismanaged Blackwood shares and the company was close to going bankrupt. I guess it was hatred because he wasn't happy when he found out that Damon was the one inheriting Blackwood Industries, not him. "So he reached out to your father, who was the head of a conglomerate so that he could sell the shares and save the company. Damon wasn't even aware of this.

“You think this is over? You’ve only broken the lock. The thing beneath the Black Moon stirs, child. And it remembers your name.” Kaelira’s blood ran cold. “No,” she whispered. “The Echo was the last of it. I destroyed it.” “You destroyed its shell,” Varyn said. “But its heart — the true Black Moon — was never in this world to begin with. It’s waiting. And it’s calling you home.” Zevran stepped forward. “Then we’ll burn your god a second time.” Varyn’s expression softened, almost pitying. “You can’t fight the storm, boy. You can only drown in it.”

My breath hitched. "I saw something, " I whispered. Ethan's eyes sharpened. "What did you see?" he asked. "I don't know, " I said, pressing my fingers to my temple. ". I was working on something. Searching." Ethan confirmed it. "You were, " he said. "For what?" I asked. "For proof, " he said. A chill ran through me. "Proof of what?" I asked. "That Blackwood isn't an organization " he said quietly. "It's a system." My stomach twisted. "What does that mean?" I asked.

Although part of her might have been happy to corner Lucian again, if yesterday's incident really leaked to the public, it would affect the company's stock price. Blackwood Corporation was not just a company, but a business empire that spanned across multiple fields—automotive, technology, finance, and even property. Behind its great name stood four main pillars: Blackwood Motors with its electric cars and self-driving systems, Blackwood Tech, which dominated AI and cyber security, Blackwood Finance in the world of finance, and Blackwood Real Estate, which dominated property.

"What is this betrayal, Xavier?" “I guess I’m the lost one.” Everett murmured underneath his breathe. "You killed my parents. And then you made me work for you??" Xavier uttered, flames coming out of his body. Blackwood laughed, "All I did, was clean up an infested dump." He shrugged. "Dump? THOSE WERE PEOPLE!!" Xavier growled. "Oh, my bad. They didn't look like people to me." He laughed out, maniacally. This man, is psychopath.

******* Alex Blackwood's POV I nursed my whiskey, staring into the amber liquid as the bar's dim lighting wrapped around me. My mind wandered back to the deal I'd made with the late Wilson Saxton. Flashback: I sat in Saxton's study, desperation clawing at my chest. My company, Blackwood Industries, was on the brink of financial collapse. I needed an lots of capital, and Saxton was the only one who could provide it. Saxton leaned back in his chair, eyes piercing. "I'll give you the funds, Alex and everything other thing that you might ask for. But I want something in return."

The street lamps began to crumble just like they had done the day of the accident, the earth crumbling as the ground quaked. “Seems you could use a little help, little vamparina.” A masculine voice resonated in the air. Vamparina? There he stood, along with my parents, his eyes red, his black dreadlocks running down along his face, his muscles big, merging perfectly with his physique, his perfectly chiseled jawline with a black cloak on. “Blood!” They groaned. “Back to the underworld.” He said as he raised his hands. The air stood still, flame engulfing the creatures in a minute. Groans filled the air as they began to disintegrate into soot, flowing along with the wind.

With a dark, feral grunt, the massive Alpha violently threw his weight onto the steel bar. SCREECH. The sound of thick iron nails tearing out of cheap wood violently split the air. Jax stepped up right beside him, curling his massive, calloused fingers under the splintering wood where Fennigan had created a gap. With a synchronized, terrifying surge of pure werewolf strength, the two brothers ripped the entire top half of the lid clean off. The rough pine completely shattered, exposing the dark interior of the crate. And there he was. Damon Blackwood. The monster who had built a slaughterhouse under their feet. His skin was pale and waxy in the dim fluorescent light of the loading bay, his b
