He could not believe this was real, so he said to the manager with a darkened visage, “This has to be fake. Why haven’t I heard about your bank’s VVIP program?” The manager replied, “Our bank has always had a VVIP program. The requirements to join are very high and it is provided to a specific crowd, so the vast majority are unaware of the program. Mr. Larson here is genuinely a VVIP customer of our bank.” Upon hearing the manager’s confirmation, Ethan felt nauseated, as if he had just swallowed a mouthful of sewage! Zayn felt especially pleased when he saw the look on Ethan’s face. He asked, “Ethan, it was you who proposed the bet. You’re not going to back out now, are you?”

Bars littered the walls with plush purple seating and circled booths scattered the VIP area that Jason and I headed to. "Fuck, it's packed!" Jason whined like a moody child as we walked through hoards of people to the VIP section. Were servers dressed skimpily with glowing trays of drinks, carrying empty bottles and glasses back to the bar while others rushed to serve in whatever way V's VIP members desired! Nothing was off limits at V's; you could purchase an hour with a waitress or dancer just as you could purchase a row of shot glasses filled with sambuca. And I intended to enjoy the evenings and all V's had to offer; if the pussy didn't help me forget Aurora, the top-shelf whiskey would.

A world of intoxication and luxury, dazzling lights and opulent nightlife. Anthony looked at the address on the business card in his hand. When he pushed the door open, the security guard immediately stopped him. “Sorry, sir, this place is membership only. No membership, no entry.” Anthony might have been in Impelia for many years, but he never knew this place existed. He withdrew his surprised gaze and instinctively reached for his phone. “How do I become a VIP?” he asked. The guard sized Anthony up. Looking at his watch, then his shoes, the guard said in a formal tone, “To be honest, our club requires a capital verification for VIP membership.”

ISABELLA'S POV It took Nicholas only one day to secure VIP access to Club Vertigo. They say money talks louder than words. Not really but in Club Vertigo, that saying couldn't be more accurate. A few million slapped on the table was all it took for Nicholas to be ranked as a VIP and for me to sneak in as one of the sex workers. Our identities were carefully concealed.

All I could think about was taking my mom, Helena Nightfall, away from that miserable household, moving somewhere far away, and starting a new life with her. She had agreed again and again. But the moment my dad, Victor Nightfall, came home, she told him everything. My gambling addict dad’s eyes had lit up like a predator spotting prey. He marched straight up to me and demanded the ticket. "Where is it? Hand it over! So you hit the jackpot and didn’t tell your old man? Planning to run off with your mom? "You ungrateful little brat. Your money is my money. How dare you make decisions on your own?"

Aaliyah replied before we were unconsciously pulled into an argument to what name really suited us- -when we actually really gathered to welcome Wu back from her rehabilitation center. "I like a little mystery, we-" Wu had started out before Jacqueline clicked her glass to gather our attention. "-the vamps" She interrupted with a slight shrug of her shoulders and we hesitantly held up our glasses this time-- "Too cliché" Wu eye rolled. We looked to her as she brought out her blow, it was to no surprise to us that even after rehab, Wu still had no plan to stay clean- The smiles wiped off our faces as she prepared to take a sniff of the powder she tiled on the table beside her.

The place was clearly for the rich and powerful, and she stood out like a sore thumb in her grey t-shirt and black shorts. Antonio led her up the staircase to the VIP center. Here, it was quieter. There was a private luxury lounge for high stakes games and VIP clients. A quick look around revealed security cameras and surveillance systems. Antonio led her into the empty private lounge and she sat beside him. "Have you ever been to a gambling house?" He asked, taking out a cigarette and lighting it. Isabella shook her head, then she quickly remembered his warning and answered. "No, master. You must be a VIP here."

“General admission’s sold out. You have to buy resell or VIP.” Haley stepped forward fast, pulling out her phone. “How much?” The girl shrugged. “Last I checked, VIP’s four hundred per person.” Haley flagged down a vendor kid sitting near the cotton candy stand. His oversized clown hat nearly slid off when he stood. “You selling?” Haley asked. He glanced around nervously, then nodded. “I got two QR codes. You want in now?” “Three.” He paused. “That will cost you.” Jasmine didn’t blink. “How much?”

I tucked away my phone and exhaled. The crystal dome of Velvet Lounge loomed ahead. Damian rolled the Lamborghini to a slow halt, and valets rushed forward immediately. One minute we were stepping into the VIP elevator, the next we were stepping into the club. The bass thumped, dim lights flickered, and the air smelled faintly of cedar smoke and designer perfumes. A host approached with a practiced smile. “Welcome to Velvet Lounge.” Damian nodded. “Reservation under Rivera.” She glanced at her tablet. “Of course, this way please.”

I raised my head to let some air into my lungs because my chest was beginning to feel like there was a heavy stone in there, but then I saw a shirtless guy staring at me. “What the heck!!” I whispered shyly, blinking nonstop and shifting uncontrollably as though the chair had suddenly lost its comfort. I managed to signal the bartender and he rushed over "Are there any VIP rooms left?” I asked him while he ran his hard-looking fingers on the screen of the tablet in his hands. “Yes ma’am. Just one.” “How much for that?” “A minute, please,” he replied, scrolling through something on the tablet. “Eight hundred dollars for a night ma’am.”
