Vengeance Is Mine Says The Lord Meaning Novels & Stories

I snarled at her and spun on my heel, about to leave. Reaching for the door handle, I remembered the last thing I wanted to add, so I glanced over my shoulder and grinned at her horrified face, “for your information - I will let them take turns on you. Every single one of them. All the species. No exceptions. I will let them torture you, use and abuse you. Experiment on you. Anything you could imagine and fear. The entire Kingdom will have a go at you and the only rule they’ll ever get is that you must live. For all I care, you can be beaten and broken so badly, you’ll see death nearing you, about to take you away from here, but it’ll never happen. I will give you the taste of everything you

My rage lapped up, and I let it roam free. I lowered my voice. “I am death.” I met his eyes. “I am vengeance..” He balked, sneering down at me, but I could smell his fear. It mixed with my anger, and I felt it become a living thing. It hardened around me like armor. “You should not kept me alive,” I spat, the fiery vengeance flickered with each word. “Then your sons would have still been debasing these lands.” The fire within me took hold, but I was its master now.

“Let it go? You want me to let them erase us, erase everything they owed you, everything they stole? I’ve watched them thrive while we were pushed aside!” Elias’ eyes softened for a fraction of a second, but the lines of age and fatigue remained. “They didn’t steal anything, you know that. I know what you feel. I know what you’ve carried. But this... this is not victory. The law has caught you. And yet, it is not the end of us, Vino. Remember that. You will live to make choices beyond this moment. But vengeance... vengeance consumes you.”

After what seems like being away for hours, we part and put our foreheads together. Then she seeks the depths of my brown eyes again, “Christian, are you really going to kill my father?” “Princess, I am not going to lie to you, but I am not going to sit by and accept what he did to my father. And there is one thing you need to understand. An eye for an eye is real. In this world, you don’t take and not give. Blood for blood. A bullet for a bullet. Whichever way you see it. Revenge is sweet, and god forbid if you find yourself on the other side of it.”

Unexpectedly, Lord Vedastus did not haggle, appearing very generous. Lord Vedastus said, “I’ve lost all my children and also my only friend. Money and power are actually meaningless to me now. “I’m only alive because I still hold a grudge. “It’s Thomas! He took everything away from me! He took my children and influenced my daughter to make the wrong choices. They even cooperated to kill my best friend. “I have to exact my revenge. “As long as I can kill Thomas, I’m willing to pay any price! My hatred will only be dispelled after I kill Thomas.”

I was about to say that I love you more, but a sudden decision made me pause. I would save those three precious words for our wedding night, a moment when our love would be sealed in time, something he would never forget. I pulled back, my eyes falling over at his chest, and I read the words inked across his collarbone, "La vendetta è mia." "Vengeance is mine?" I read, translating the Italian phrase with a curious glance. He smirked a trace of dark amusement in his eyes. "Well, look at you, pulling off an impressive translation. I guess there's a flicker of intelligence in there, somewhere."

My heart pounds, rage simmering beneath the surface. I stand, my vision narrowing as a single thought consumes me. “Revenge,” I snarl, my voice low and venomous. “It is then.”

My laughter follows his footsteps as he retreats and I am reminded of Machiavelli once again quoting me “If an injury has to be done to a man, it should be so severe that his vengeance need not be feared’ Well Damian will you need to fear my vengeance?

He narrowed his eyes: "Sam, step aside." "I won't." I felt a soreness in my throat, choking out the words: "Kent I want revenge against Leila, and you think I'm disgusting, right? So by your point of view, I should be a saint, not resent her for all the harm she had done to me before, and even be kind to her?" He looked very agitated by my rebuttal, his face becoming even darker: "I didn't say that, Sam, There are countless ways to retaliate; please don't choose the most base one. She just beat you up. You could simply hit her back. Why resort to such despicable means?"

The man's loyalty extended only as far as his own ambition. A bitter smile touched my lips. He was so utterly, transparently predictable and that predictability was going to be his ruin. My revenge wouldn't just be about taking back my money, it would be about destroying them from the inside out, using their own greed and disloyalty as the tools of their destruction.
