Vengeance Is Mine Says The Lord Meaning Mga Nobela at Kwento

What I don't know can't hurt me. My Mind was brought back by the Scripture that Queen was asked to read, "Rescue me, O lord, from liars and from all deceitful people. O deceptive tongue, what will God do to you? How will he increase your punishment? You will be pierced with sharp arrows and burned with glowing coals." "Go to verse six and seven" The pastor interrupted. "I am tired of living among people who hate peace. I search for peace; but when I speak of peace, they want war!" Queen concluded.

"If you love me, shake him with this sight. Let this pain rattle his bones. Let each tear you counted from these eyes be marked upon his sword. Let not evil triumph, not here, not now." She bowed her head to the floor, her whisper one with the earth now. "Let them not escape. Not one. Let Your vengeance breathe through his roar."

How soon would my traitorous gene manifest to haunt me? "I am a traitor. I have the blood of a traitor," I whispered to myself, raising my head to look at my hands as if expected to see blood. "The bitterness in your heart," the goddess said in a subdued tone. "It is spreading." "And if I – so Valens –" My mind travelled back to the day I heard him discussing vengeance against those that wronged him. I didn't understand at first because I thought he'd killed them all but I did now. He knew my mother fled and he was searching for whatever family she may have started.

It holds me in so much of a trance that I reach out and trace the outlines of his face with my finger, wishing I could somehow will Vincent's schemes into existence from doing it. The wineglass beside me is half-empty, its contents sour on my tongue, and I find that the taste mirrors the churn in my gut. I'm thinking about power, about revenge, about the intricate web that Vincent has woven around Vieuti to wrap it around his finger-and how I'm going to cut every thread until it is all mine. Poetic justice. Yes, that's the word for it. Marcus's words echo in my mind: 'Vincent is the real king now. '

“Don’t pretend to know me,” “I don’t know you in particular but I know that we were all created in the image of god and no one has a right to take anyone’s life.” “Amazing! Are you going to preach to me?” “No. I think you are smart enough to know this already.” “Well, I am here to kill you.” “Why?” “Because your husband killed my daddy. An eye for an eye. You know that concept right?” “Exodus 21 verse 23 to 25.”

“Use that word in our lord context.” “Our lord's context?” They perked up, instantly huddled in, pointedly ignoring the dragons that were almost recovered around them. “Yes. Don’t you remember all her teaching styles?” Mina baited her people to follow the order while providing a simple example. “Retaliate. Never give up. You are the warrior.” Someone repeated the lord’s favorite quote. “Retaliate.” Mina nodded her head, vehemently. “Retaliate!” The other soon understood.

Bianca answered, “this is a famous quote from a famous man Xavier” “Are you sure taking revenge this way will make all the hate and pain go away?” With a smirk hovering across her lips, Bianca brought her glass to her lips but paused and turned to Xavier. “When you read the Bible, it says that vengeance is off the lord, right? But do you know something?” The smirk on the face intensified but the look in her eyes was deadly, it was filed with pain and anger, “The almighty made me in his exact spitting image, Xavier” the smirk disappeared, “I am made in his exact image and that means, I can dish out karma as I so desire”

“So even now, Luna, your love has brought ruin upon us all.” “No,” she replied firmly, her voice rising with the gusts of wind. “My love rescued us. It’s your hatred that has kept us shackled to this curse.” Thunder rumbled as lightning tore through the sky, and the earth shook beneath their feet. The goddess’s essence stirred anew, her voice intertwining with the thunderstorm. “Truth shines brighter than vengeance. Yet one flame still lingers.”

he yelled at the top of his lungs. Austin smiled lowly. "Leviticus chapter 19 verse 18 says 'thou shalt not avenge, nor bear any grudge against the children of thy people, but thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself: I am the LORD." Sneering at his son. "Since when do you read—"

Lex talionis. Latin for an eye for an eye. The one phrase my father repeats over and over again. The one motto that we go by. I rushed out of the office with Sloan by my side and we saw lifeless bodies but they were not only from our side but from the other as well. They fought well and were just unprepared for the attack that was just about to occur.
