Novel & Cerita Vengeance Is Mine Says The Lord Meaning

The In Between "I still don't understand, Alaric. How is any of this relevant?" "Use your head, Livia. Have you ever heard the saying, he who seeks revenge digs two graves? Do you know why that is?" "A grave for your enemy and another for yourself because you're dooming yourself with whoever you seek revenge against. "Exactly, my girl. Revenge is close acquaintance with misery, and we know how much that bitch loves company." There was still something that bothered Livia. "After declaring war on Vanessa, what happened to us, Alaric?"

"I will not let our baby come back to heaven again, my love. I will take care of you more than I did before" "I will clean the path towards our family's happy ending, my love. Someone will pay for what they did to you and for losing our firstborn. My heir was taken away from me. I will not rest until I claim the vengeance you and our child deserves" with tears brimming his eyes, he muttered with a clenched jaw. ****😑****

“This isn’t the time or the place for this back-and-forth. Tonight is supposed to be about hope and charity! Not about your childish infatuation with revenge.” “Revenge is hardly in my vocabulary, Andre. It’s about taking back what is rightfully mine. And I plan to do just that,” I said evenly, unwilling to yield any ground even as the tension crackled in the air like the winter chill outside. “But how many lives will you destroy while seeking your vengeance?” he countered, his voice laced with a hollow sympathy. “That’s rich coming from you.” I offered him a grin that felt both sinister and refreshing. “I’m not the one who tarnished my marriage or ruined lives for power and control.”

he yelled back. “You were greedy,” I countered, my voice trembling with rage. “You coveted power, and you didn’t care how you obtained it, even through the most abominable of acts.” I wiped the tear away with the back of my hand, my gaze hardening. “For my mother, and for all the innocent souls who suffered under your wickedness, I will have my revenge.”

I asserted, my voice devoid of sentiment, each syllable carrying the weight of past injustices. But Diyo attempted to break through the impenetrable fortress of my resolve. His protestations were feeble, his words an attempt to pierce the armor of my vengeance. "You've become blinded by revenge," he remarked, his voice heavy with a plea for reason, a plea that fell upon the deaf ears of a man consumed by the flames of retribution.

The feeling had been crushing. I nodded slightly. "Thank you." "Don't lose heart," he said, his voice carrying a steely undertone. "Revenge isn't about acting rashly—it's about waiting for the right moment."

Revenge! Her words made me shiver slightly. She was right. I knew she was! Her voice was suddenly full of pain and bitterness as she spoke and I knew that only mirrored my feelings whenever I thought of Daven and Daisy. 'Swear that you won't let them go scot-free!' My wolf sneered. 'Swear that you won't let your heart be distracted by the Lycan Prince' looks!' “I swear,” I said in a whisper. “One way or the other, I will have my vengeance!”

I wanted to prove to her that I could still fight her and that my silence was not an interpretation of weakness. Damn! I hate my mixed feelings right now. “ Swallow it up, honey. This is not the time to want to carry your vendetta on whoever hurt your feelings in the past. You already defeated them by not fighting back. Revenge is for the fool. Vengeance belongs to God" He quoted exactly how I was feeling inside. Hold on. I glare back at Felix. “Did you just refer to me as a fool?" I said from a place of guilt, and Felix burst out laughing loudly.

“Alright, alright! You win! Is that what you want to hear?! I submit to you! Just call off your fucking wolf!” Visenya’s voice dripped with icy resolve, her words cutting through the tension like a sharpened blade. “Oh, this isn’t about victory. It’s about sending a message—a visceral reminder that no one can provoke the gods and evade their fury unscathed. You cower beneath my wolf, pleading for mercy you callously denied to others. You must taste the bitterness of their suffering, a torment you and your council ruthlessly unleashed upon them.“

(TRISTAN'S POV) ‘Vengeance is of the Lord,’ I always preached it when I was a priest. I was once an angel with the bible, winning souls for Christ. Now a devil with an empire, sending souls to hell. I’ve tasted light and darkness, and I must confess: Black tastes better. Fuck, justice, I’ll rather play God. Answer that prayer with a knife and a coffin. The weak depend on faith. The strong make their fate. And in this moment, staring at Kendrick’s turbulent eyes, I relive all the sins of my life: from losing my virginity to fucking Bunny more times than my heartbeat—I realize that vengeance is sweeter than sex.
