Vengeful Love

Vengeful Love

I was born feeling that inside me, I just need to conceal it. "I am not asking for forgiveness, darling. It's only for the weak. Loathe is what I need, pain is what makes me stronger and your hatred gives me power. Do you really think I care about your feelings?" "Go to hell!” I said as I ran towards her as I shifted into my wolf form. "A She-wolf, I see." She smirked but she did not even flinch, however it did not make me lose the courage to attack her. I will never run away if that is what she wants.

Mafia Boss's stolen sperm

Mafia Boss's stolen sperm

Latin terms. "The 'favor to V.' You're looking for a person. What if it's not a person?" I turned from the screen. "Explain." "A favor isn't always paid to someone. It can be paid for something. To settle a score. To fulfill an obligation." She pointed to her list. "Vendetta. Vow. Vengeance. Verdict. 'V' could be the code for the reason, not the recipient. My adoption wasn't just a transaction. It was the settlement of a debt. A favor to close a chapter marked 'V.'"

Lycan King's Broken Mate: She Has A Baby?

Lycan King's Broken Mate: She Has A Baby?

The desire for revenge flickered in her eyes, a sinister gleam that mirrored the depths of her despair. "I'll make her suffer," she whispered, her voice laced with malice, the words dripping with venom. "I'll make her regret ever crossing paths with you." Images of inflicting pain upon Faith flashed through her mind, a slideshow of vindictive fantasies that played out in vivid detail. Each scene grew more horrifying, fueled by the raw intensity of her emotions. "I'll tear her apart, just like she tore us apart," she hissed, her voice dripping with a bitter resolve. "She'll pay for what she's done."

FALLEN PROMISE

FALLEN PROMISE

she sneered. Her twisted words seemed to hang in the thick, musty air, lingering like a shadow that wouldn’t dissipate. They echoed softly, bouncing off the walls of the dimly lit room, filling the space with a dark, venomous promise. It was as if her voice itself carried the weight of her hatred, every syllable sharpened by her resentment. Loleng felt the power of her own spite surge within her, fueling her resolve. For years, she had harbored this bitter fire, allowing it to fester and grow, until vengeance became as much a part of her as her very blood. Now, her hatred had found a purpose, and she wouldn’t rest until it reached every corner of Carmela’s life.

THE VENGEFUL BRIDE

THE VENGEFUL BRIDE

‎Not because it was over. ‎But because she had spoken. ‎Outside, reporters waited. ‎Grace stopped. ‎She did not hide. ‎“Ms. Morgan,” one called. “Do you feel vindicated?” ‎“No,” Grace replied. “I feel accurate.” ‎Another asked, “Do you forgive those involved?” ‎Grace paused. ‎“Forgiveness is not procedural,” she said. “Accountability is.” ‎She walked past them. ‎Nathaniel followed. ‎In the car, neither spoke at first.

Mafia Men V - Marco's Vengeance

Mafia Men V - Marco's Vengeance

It was a bittersweet farewell, a moment frozen in time, as I imprinted the memory of her on my soul. With every touch, I clung to the fragments of her, knowing that soon, even these fleeting moments would fade into darkness. "I'll rip their world apart for taking you from me," I promised her one last time. Her death wasn't the end; it would be the catalyst for my wrath, the trigger for my unleashed fury. They'll beg for mercy, but I'll show them none. Every drop of blood spilled in her name will be a symphony of vengeance. They stole my joy, so I'll rob them of everything they hold dear— their lives, their very existence, their entire world.

This story and all the rest of Janedoewritings(also known as JD) deserve more than 5 stars. Her writing is beyond anything you can imagine. I am a true fan of her writing, and so will you be. I can write praises of her books to you, but I challenge you to read even just one of her Mafia Men stories.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I loved how the story kept moving. I laughed throughout, with the exception of Tina and Liam's story. That one broke my heart. I'm happy it all worked out. I like how Tina's son is asking questions just like she did. I wouldn't mind reading Ethan and Nathan's stories.

Taming The Beast: His Ruthless Desire

Taming The Beast: His Ruthless Desire

Allowed someone else to touch what was mine. My hands balled into fists at my side. I should go up there. The option of dragging him kicking and screaming back to the penthouse didn't sound so cruel now. If anything, it didn't sound like punishment enough. But no. What was it Vincent had said again? Something about vengeance being sweeter when given in measures. I was going to measure the hell out of this little fucker.

A Female Alpha’s Revenge

A Female Alpha’s Revenge

The memory of the Crown Prince's scent—so familiar and noble—surfaced in her mind. Her wolf howled, mourning the Lycan she would always revere. "The Crown Prince's kindness is carved into my heart; it will never fade," Thalia said, her gaze meeting Sybil's without flinching. "But it's because we want revenge that we're bringing Velda home. We will use her blood to let his soul rest." Sybil's face twisted. "That low-born bitch Velda is a nobody! Her life is worth nothing!" Her voice turned shrill, piercing like a needle, and her pheromones became acrid and pungent.

Frequently Asked Questions

Words about revenge always stir something in me — whether it’s because I grew up on pulpy revenge tales or because the language itself is so textured. If I had to pick one synonym of 'avenge' that most strongly carries a violent connotation, I’d point to phrases like 'exact revenge' and verbs like 'wreak vengeance.' Those carry a blunt, physical edge in everyday use. 'Exact' implies measurement and enforcement — you’re going to make someone pay in a tangible way — while 'wreak' brings to mind wreaking havoc, which is overtly destructive. In older literature this feels obvious: read 'The Count of Monte Cristo' and you’ll feel how Edmund Dantès’ retribution is painstaking and often violent; look at 'Hamlet' and the aftermath is tragically bloody. Even modern action tales like 'Kill Bill' or 'John Wick' lean into these words to signal fists, knives, or guns.

That said, connotation shifts with context. 'Retaliate' commonly implies a return of force and can be physical — I’d use it when describing a military or personal fight back. By contrast, 'avenge' in a formal sense can sound almost judicial, like someone bringing moral balance rather than stabbing someone in a dark alley. 'Revenge' itself tends to be raw and personal; it’s visceral, fuelled by emotion, and often suggests that the actor bypasses law for personal settlement. Language choice also colors perceived violence: 'settle the score' can be casual or deadly depending on tone; 'seek justice' neutralizes the violent aspect altogether.

In my own reading and watching, the words that point to violence are the ones tied to physical verbs and imagery — 'slaughter' isn’t a synonym of 'avenge' but shows how choosing harsher verbs makes intent clear. So if you want to mark a violent intention in prose or dialogue, reach for 'exact revenge,' 'wreak vengeance,' or 'retaliate' with a modifier that implies force. If you want restraint or lawful action, choose 'avenge' or 'seek justice' instead. Personally, I love how small word choices shift an entire scene’s tone — it’s like swapping a dagger for a gavel, and I always notice that change first.
