Chapter Twenty-Six Mikaela: My eyes enlarged, my eyeballs almost rolling out of their sockets. How did she know my name? Oh, so the bossy vibe wasn't fake after all. “Oh, girl, where are my manners?” Her steps became quicker, her heels knocking against the hard concrete of the road. “I'm Veronica. Veronica Black.” She introduced, and at this point, she was only a few inches away from me, our eyes boring into each other's. “I hope you know what that means?”

Ezra says. Veronica leans over, kissing me. "I want to fuck you both every night, please," Veronica says. She turns the other way and kisses Ezra. He broke her easily, or is she playing him. I have a feeling there is a lot more to Veronica than meets the eye. She wants out of here, and the best way to get out of here is by spreading her legs and giving Ezra what he wants. Veronica After only one glass of champagne, Noah switched to beer. He said he wasn't much of a champagne drinker and only ever had a glass or two when he was in a celebratory mood. Veronica's insides had warmed when he said that today he was celebrating his new friendship. Given the little speech he'd just made about how he felt about his friends, it was even more heartwarming that he now considered her a friend. Veronica’s eyes opened slowly. The room was dark, lit only by faint moonlight slipping through the window. For a moment, she didn’t move. Then she heard it again. Movement. She turned her head slightly. Christiana’s bed was empty. Veronica’s heart skipped. Slowly, she lifted herself just enough to look around. The door to the dormitory was slightly open. A shadow slipped through it. Christiana. Veronica’s breath became shallow. She’s going again… Without thinking too much, Veronica quietly got out of bed.
