My Stepbrother Is My Baby’s Daddy

My Stepbrother Is My Baby’s Daddy

The gentle rustling of pages marked the passage of time, a rhythmic journey that mirrored the ebb and flow of emotions within her. In the quietude of her room, Veronica discovered that literature had the power to heal. The interplay of words, the magic woven into sentences, and the transformative nature of storytelling provided a sanctuary where she could momentarily escape the complexities of her reality. With each chapter, she took a step closer to a realm of understanding, both within the pages of the book and in the tapestry of her own life.

The Woman Who Could Call Fire

The Woman Who Could Call Fire

" Veronica wake up it's time " i could hear the calls of the servants bound here by whatever sins they were accused of. I didn't want to wake up not because of this endless hell but because My body craved to stay asleep to pretend , to maybe just ignore the outside world, i use to hope for a savior someone to tell me that this is not my reality but i guess you could say I've learned to put away those childish thoughts of love , hope , dreams i was numb i could no longer feel what used to bind me to the everlasting hope that maybe I deserved to fight for a chance at survival. I was nothing

Age Bound Ecstasy

Age Bound Ecstasy

The sound surprised her. "Appropriate." They sat in the dark a while longer. Then Elise stood. Offered her hand. "Come outside. The moon is up." They walked to the terrace. The night had cleared. Stars sharp. Moon low and silver, path glittering across the water. Veronica leaned on the railing. Elise beside her. "I think I will publish the book," Veronica said. "The Reckoning Tide. As it is. No edits. No softening." Elise squeezed her arm.

The Luna Choosing Game

The Luna Choosing Game

For everyone, even myself. Veronica slid me a book across the table we were sitting at. “Read this.” I looked down where she pointed and read through the passage. In was an innocuous, boring diatribe about the rise and fall of the grain industry in the late seventeen hundreds. I lifted a brow at Veronica. “This has nothing to do with teleportation.” She shrugged. “I know that. It was to help you focus. Did it work?” I blinked a few times. Yeah, it did kind of work.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME/MONEY!! This book is almost 600 chapters and it’s not even close to ending. Read the first 20 chapters then skip to about 550 because the rest is going in circles and making out and dry h*mping in closets And Piper almost dies 50 times. Nick won’t claim her. Now your caught up

Put 5 stars so my comment stays at top. This book is literally never-ending and I feel is just becoming a cash grab. The same scenarios keep repeating themselves in different ways and the plot does not progress. We're at 589 chapters in and only NOW seem like we're POSSIBLY getting some progression.

Sophie:The broken Mistress

Sophie:The broken Mistress

He assured her, cuddling her close to him. She thanked the stars that she had run into Rhys that day, or she would have been crushed by the weight of this burden before her. Hesitantly, she opened the door to the house, in half hopes and expecting nothing. Veronica sat in the sitting room, reading a book absentmindedly. One will easily know that her eyes were on the book, but not her mind. Her eyes darted around the pages, nothing sinking into her head. When she heard the creaking of the door, she looked up, her eyes lighting up when she spotted Sophie and her partner.

Her Billionaire and Her Baby

Her Billionaire and Her Baby

Jessica huffs, bouncing her shoulders as she goes to the window and looks out at the driveway. "Let's get right into it," Veronica sits down and pulls out her copy of the novel. She continues to glance around the room, reveling in the particular craftsmanship of the building. "I need to get home to let my dog out soon." Maryanne nods, her brow rising with realization, "Oh, right, okay." As Shelley reluctantly sits across from Veronica, the others follows suit. Maryanne pulls out her copy and rifles through it quickly. "So let's start from the beginning, right? We never had a first meeting, so today we will talk about the entire book."

The Wealthy Divorcee

The Wealthy Divorcee

Alice The bar’s atmosphere was a blend of quiet jazz and whispered ambition. Shadows clung to the velvet booths, hiding secrets in their folds. Alice Florence adjusted her dress, lifting her martini glass as she studied the woman opposite her. Veronica Duval was not merely beautiful. She was a weapon, polished and deadly, wrapped in couture. Recently returned from Geneva, Veronica brought a storm of curiosity and influence. A shareholder in the Anderson-Hidalgo venture, her opinion could sway investors like the tide.

While Marrying Mr. Steele

While Marrying Mr. Steele

“Better than you ever will.” Flames burned in my soul, hot and urgent. “You don’t scare me, Veronica.” She reached out, lazily pushing another book off the desk, watching it fall with disinterest. “You should be scared.” I stepped closer, lowering my voice. “Get out.” Veronica glanced at me for an instant before standing from behind the desk. "Suit yourself," she muttered to herself. Then, still in the same careless manner in which she had arrived, she walked from the study, leaving behind in it the turmoil of her being.

Claimed By A Father And Son

Claimed By A Father And Son

“I don’t want you. I don’t want your fingers, your mouth, or any of your jealous bullshit. The only cock I need is Lucian’s… and his dad’s. Got it? So take your pathetic ex-girlfriend revenge fantasy somewhere else before I slap that smug look off your face again.” Veronica stumbled back, but that nasty little smirk never left her face. She didn’t look pissed—she looked hungry. Without breaking eye contact, she slowly tugged the neckline of her tight top down, letting one full, perky tit spill free right there in the shadows behind the library. Her nipple was hard and pink, begging to be sucked. At the same time she lifted the two fingers that had just been buried knuckle-deep in my cum-fill

'Veronica' is one that caught my attention recently. The author is Mary Gaitskill, an American writer known for her sharp, unflinching prose. Her work often explores complex human emotions and relationships, and 'Veronica' is no exception. It's a hauntingly beautiful novel that delves into themes of memory, loss, and the passage of time. Gaitskill's ability to capture the nuances of her characters' inner lives is what makes this book stand out. If you're into literary fiction that leaves a lasting impression, this is definitely one to check out.
