A scream tore through the stillness. One of our men crumpled to the ground mid-step, his eyes wide open, unmoving. Dead. “What the—what the hell just happened?” someone shouted. But before any of us could make sense of it, something blurred past us—a shadow with fangs and blood-red eyes. It lunged at me, faster than I could fully react, but instinct took over. I caught it—just barely—its fangs an inch from my throat as we crashed into a nearby pillar.

Though, it id possible that those boxes doesn't carry biscuits anymore. Both flinched when a lost soul suddenly appeared before their eyes. It is a soft looking young man who died in estimated age of twent to twenty five. "Where are you heading to?" He asked and suddenly, his gentle demeanor turned into an eerie one. His soft features suddenly turned rough. Tge two took a step backwards in shock with a little bit of fear. Mara summoned her scythe in a panic and slashed it through the lost soul, and luckily, he was judged and was sent to where it belongs.

The whole sky black making me more scared. I am not type of a person who gets scared easily... "Ahhhh" I screamed as kept my leg on some object. It could be a snake for God's sake. I removed my leg slowly from the object or the snake only to sign in relief. It's just a stick. "Buddy please we should go inside now.. Mom will definitely scold me once she realise I was out of the forest. What if she won't ever realise we are out of forest. She might be searching for us inside the forest only. We should definitely go now. What if we won't ever go back. What if a vampire suck our blood till we become dry or even worse what if a ghost appear and eat us. What if-"

Each volume of Strange short stories will have 3 medium-sized stories and about 10 short stories. To make it easier to understand and more transparent, this chapter will be like a summary for this and the following volumes. King suddenly frowned, "Did I scare you?" She was so scared to hide in bed! An Taotao just wanted to shake her head, but she suddenly thought of something. She nodded her head with red eyes, and then complained miserably in Mr. King's cold eyes, "Mr. King, you just scared me to death. I was sleeping well. Suddenly there was a person at the head of the bed, whoever would experience this situation might also be scared. Mr. King, can you not suddenly appear in my room in the future? As the stories got scarier, I noticed a few of the younger pack members huddling closer to their parents, seeking comfort and reassurance. Soon, it was my turn to share a story. I let my imagination run wild, conjuring spine-chilling scenes and mysterious characters. The pack leaned in closer, their eyes wide with fascination, hanging onto every word I spoke. The suspenseful atmosphere made my heart race with excitement.

Anywhere but there. She noticed him move, her throat emitting a muffled whimper. She quickly closed her eyes, praying that whatever was about to happen to her would be short and painless. It would've been better if he just killed her now. At least then she would escape this horrifying nightmare. She suddenly heard him laugh from a distance, one of her eyelids peeling open to take a peek. Noticing the complete darkness surrounding her. "Night night, little mouse. Don't let the scary creatures bite you,"

A jolt of fear ran down my spine and my eyes widened ,I slowly looked down at the arms wrapped around my waist ,the hand was small like Mary’s but frail ..a bit wrinkly. “Hey… i see you have met my mom..” Mary suddenly appeared in front of me ,it took me a second before I screamed and ran towards her ,frightened . “Your mother ?” My eyes strayed back to the direction I once stood , there stood a really tall , white haired woman , her face half covered by hair but I can see part her face and
