Victor just shrugged a little. "It is only bad if you get in trouble." He moved the whiskey around in his glass. "The person is Alex Morgan ." It was quiet for a seconds. Then Chris said slowly. "Alex?" Victors smile got a little bigger. "Yes." He leaned forward a little. "I know you and Alex Morgan have a history." Chris's voice got a little angry. "What do you want me to do to Alex Morgan?" Victor's answer was easy. "Help me ruin Alex Morgan's life."

With the amount her father donates to the school every year, Vanessa was held in high prestige at Seattle high school. "What can I do for you, dear?", Mr. Bull asked in his nicest voice. Vanessa took her seat in front of his table and spoke up. "I have cramps all over my body", she said with a pitiful pout. Mr. Bull was confused at first. Blood immediately poured from his nose and mouth with one tooth cracked. His nose broke instantly. Victor looked down at him with burning fury.

His knee bounced a steady rhythm, and his fingers twitched like he was texting in his head. Finally, the door crashed open with all the subtlety of a SWAT raid. Victor stepped in, hood up, eyes fever-bright behind thick glasses. He carried a battered laptop under one arm, cords snaking out of his backpack like intestines. He nodded at Grant, then at me, but didn’t speak until the door was locked and bolted behind him. “Sorry I’m late, Alpha.” Victor’s voice was higher than I expected, almost reedy, like he’d been running on nothing but nicotine and adrenaline for days. “Had to lose a tail.”

Victor’s attorney announced, “Your Honor, I would like to call Victor Cross to the stand.” Victor stood and walked to the witness’ seat. After being sworn in, he took his seat and adjusted the microphone. The attorney asked, “Mister Cross, can you state, for the record, what you do for a living?” He nodded, “Yes. I am the CEO of Cross Corporation.” He asked, “Can you tell the court when you met your wife?” Victor smiled, “I met her, the first time, when I was six years old. We grew up together.”
