One of the wolves lunged at Ali, but Oliver intercepted him, sending the attacker crashing into a tree with a well-placed kick. "I got your back, man!" Oliver panted. Ali grinned. "And I got yours! They will realize that they shouldn’t have messed with us." The last of the rogues realized they were losing and retreated into the darkness, their growls fading into the distance. Oliver swayed slightly, but Ali caught him. "We need to get you back; those idiots really wanted to get you killed," Ali said urgently. Oliver coughed, his body trembling. "We... we make a good team. Where did you learn that from?"

I growled as I leaped onto the stage. “NOW!” Beck ordered as they dragged her to the back of the stage. Before I could move an inch, he had four warriors flanking him. “You son of a bitch!” “Nick!” I heard Mason faintly behind me. Before he could reach me, I lunged at Beck and swung a punch across his jaw. He stumbled back into his warriors before fixing me with a glare. “Attack!” Beck ordered and everyone came from all directions at once.

We both decided to be silent for the rest of our walk to war. As soon as the Alpha called for action, Beckett shifted into his cecaelia, grabbing hold of a rogue vampire with two of his tentacles and pulling it's head off. It's dust quickly became one with the mud, and I nodded my head at Beckett as I quickly turned the blade of my sword backwards to stab a troll that was running at my back. Clearly, he made the mistake of assuming that I was an easy target. Beckett nodded back at me before we both went our separate ways into the fight.
