In her hands, bloody, caked in bits of black, is a glowing, amber eye. Gordon screams out, red running down his face as he covers his wound. He’s blind, stumbling wildly about and right out of the circle into defeat. “You f*cker. You— my eye!” Ariadne can’t even imagine what she looks like right now, hair a wild mess. She catches a glimpse of the audience. Victor’s there, half recovered, watching her with shock. “I’ve won,” Ariadne says. “You’ve lost.” She lets the blob of flesh in her palm fall to the ground.

Not when I sense someone on the other side of the battlefield staring at me. Victor. Despite the destruction all around him, he remains motionless. His black eyes are fixed on me like I'm his prey, and his lips form a lazy, contented smile. My stomach knots up. Even though my body is screaming for me to move and fight, I can't take my eyes off of him as I tighten my hold on my weapon. Victor makes slow, methodical steps toward me and says, "You can’t escape this, Aurora," his voice echoing the sounds of combat. "You belong to me."

This was magic and violence combined. A massive python coiled around a frantic ostrich, tightening its grip as feathers flew. A tiger and jaguar rolled on the ground in a ferocious battle, their snarls shaking the trees. Above them, an eagle circled, its sharp cries echoing as it communicated with its master. Cathy's eyes widened as she noticed a serene scene amidst the carnage. Beautiful. Even in war, there was terrible beauty.

We refused to let this enemy tear us apart. As the climactic battle ensued, adrenaline coursed through my veins. Victor fought with a fierce determination, his eyes locked on our tormentor, never wavering. With each strike, it was as if he was reclaiming his power, his spirit unbreakable. In a final act of desperation, our tormentor lunged at me, their eyes burning with a twisted sense of satisfaction. But before their hand could reach me, Victor intercepted, shielding me from harm. The force of the impact sent them sprawling to the ground, defeated.

Victor’s breathing was heavy as he tightened his grip on the blade, it was dripping with the beast’s blood. The monstrous beast attacked again; its speed was terrifying. Victor sidestepped just in time, slashing across its side, but the beast only roared louder, its eyes glowing red. "Victor, behind you!" Olivia’s voice comes out sharply. Reacting instantly, Victor bent down, the beast’s claws barely missed his head. He moved forward, coming to his feet in one fast motion, and swung the blade upward. This time, the strike hit its mark; gashing the beast’s neck.

Victor running up with a knee and Dilia sneaking up from behind. Victor was pushed back and flames covered his hands all the way to the elbow before he grabbed Dilia by her own hands. She didn’t scream though. She launched both feet forward hitting him square in the ribs launching him back. He was able to stabilize himself with his wings. He barely missed the icicle that was aimed at his eye socket. He smiled to himself as a thought crossed his mind.

So, let me go." Victor's eyes flashed with anger, but he released my wrist, his claws retracting. I turned to walk away, leaving Victor to seethe with anger. A massive beam of golden-black energy shot from her body, crashing into Lyra and enveloping her in a roaring vortex. “IRISSSSSS!!!” Lyra’s voice shattered into an inhuman wail as her void form cracked, breaking apart like glass. Pieces of her darkness were pulled into the beam, spiraling away into the ether. --- Scene 5: A Hollow Victory Silence fell over the valley. The last echoes of battle faded, leaving behind the scent of scorched earth and the metallic tang of blood. The wolves slowly crept forward, their marks glowing faintly once more. Aiden collapsed beside Iris, clutching her trembling form. “You… you did it.”

He chewed slowly as he took in everything at the 'scene'. Kenchiki shot Alister on the hand. Alister had a bloody hand and there was a phone on his lap while Kenchiki currently had a guilty and panicked look on his face. Alister came out of his shock first and screamed hysterically. I quickly pushed his hand away and carefully checked him over for injuries, only to heave a sigh of relief when I found none. When I looked up, I saw Lester clutching something tightly. It turned out he'd thrown himself in front of me at the last second. Mable was pinned under his control and soaked in blood, while he looked torn. Perhaps he'd genuinely loved her.
