Vikings: Valhalla Harald Novels & Stories

he snapped. “Enough!” shouted a warrior—Harald, one of Ragnor’s most trusted. “That woman must be slain! She is no ordinary woman. She is known by her alias—The Lady Red, the infamous murderer!” Before Ragnor could speak, Harald was in front of Hulda, gripping her neck tightly. Ragnor’s eyes widened in horror. “Harald! Let her go now!” “My king, I cannot—” “I said let go!” Harald hesitated, then obeyed. Ragnor rushed to Hulda’s side.

“Before Ragnarök, which member of the Vanir was sent to Asgard and later triggered a war?” “Gullveig,” Loki answered immediately. “Loki.” I tugged at his sleeve. “Shh… we’ll talk later.” “Second question: what is another name for Valhalla?” “The Hall of the Slain.” Loki and an Aesir god answered at the same time. “Third: what species is the World Tree?” “Ash.” … “As expected of Lord Loki,” the elf said with a smile. “Tenth question: which race of gods was the first to cultivate the Ginnunga giant whale as a means of transportation?”

Valeria smiled. “Ever heard of the Valkyries?” she asked. “Of course, everyone knows about them. They are very powerful; they have helped with a lot of wars, and they are fierce slayers. I heard the Valkyries and Vladimir are in a battle; apparently there was a war Vladimir was supposed to help with, but the Valkyries sisters got involved and won. Now, Vladimir is searching for them, but no one knows who they are or what they are or where they are; they are like ghosts. Seen only when they want to be seen,” Egan said.

He left his words to linger in their ears, Ashwin already decided on his plan of action and even if they did as he asked, all were going to die and the pocket universe holding the Norse pantheon would disappear. “No, I refuse to hand the heirloom to a stranger like you. We also don't know if you will let us leave with our lives.” Hanova stepped forward and declared her stand, her body beaming and it started to transition into her Valkyrie form. The others agreed with her and they too stood their ground, the Valkyries charged forward and unleashed a barrage of lightning towards Ashwin.

“Just outside. They are powerful. We’re going to need them… Bryce doesn’t have an army. He spent all his wolves on us when we went back to The Towers the first time.” “Exactly,” Haldor says. “So it will be an easy fight.” “Will it?” Noah asks and turns his eyes to the Alpha. “How are you going to fight magic, Haldor? With your fists? With your sword? Your teeth?” “I have my Valkyries. I can summon them.” “To carry souls to your afterlife?” Noah asks. “Do you want to run into Bryce in Valhalla?” Haldor cocks his head and his eyes go wide. Nooo. Oh Goddess know, that will be bad. No. They will take him to Helheim.”

I asked with a smile. “You are evil.” Thana pouted. “No, I am prepared, and that is what keeps us alive on the battlefield.” “Valkyries were created to help Odin with his army. What good would it do if we were killed in the process?” I scolded them. After Odin sacrificed his eye to see the future, he saw the final battle, Ragnarök, and decided he needed help to build his army. There had been a huge war between the Germanic tribes and many shield maidens had died in battle. He decided female warriors with their beautiful faces were the best ones to guide his new warriors to Valhalla because they would be better able to convince the fallen soldiers to come with them.

Leif looked over her head, catching my attention briefly before turning to the corner, staring at the air. "Seven days of standing on a barrel, waiting to die," Leif announced, still staring into the shadows. "Your mate, she's an entirely different breed of woman. You got yourself a fucking Valkyrie, lucky prick. Brenna, a pleasure see- ing you again. I'm sure you'll be waiting with a blade at the ready when I enter Valhalla. I look forward to it, shield-maiden. You raised a rare one, with silent courage and one hell of a pain tolerance." "Who the fuck are you talking to, asshole? Brenna Haralson has been dead and gone for fifteen years," I grounded out, watching as Leif pointed his thumb to

Since the beginning of my birth, I already had a desire to fight against strong opponents, challenging myself again and again, but, to be honest, this was the first time that I had come across someone that I genuinely wanted to destroy, not just because he was strong— It's the end of the line for you, you trashy bastard. Slowly approaching the target, I spoke with a low voice. "You're dead…." * * * "They're getting pushed back…" Valhalla announced as she rode the White Tiger as she slashed against a group of Ice Walkers; a group of yeti-like monsters that usually appeared in large numbers at cold locations. "Go forth! Azure Dragon of The East!" Valhalla called and a large

With a single flick of her wrist, it cuts through the darkness, the air, like bullets - allowing nothing to stand within visual distance of Valerie. Though Fenrir grew livid with the audacity of these mongrels, Jaxson can't transform and leave Valerie vulnerable – not even for a second. But it doesn't matter. Jaxson didn't need to expel his energy in a futile shift, not when he has suffering to inflict of his own. As the battles wages, the Harpies lead warrior strikes a landing right before him, "she will die, before Eldora's suns awaken from their slumber," the Harpy promises, her blue eyes piercing into Valerie.

They devour it before anyone notices. Across the table, Loviatar leans toward Hel—the Norse goddess of death—and starts speaking in the god’s tongue. They think I don’t understand. They’re wrong. I whisper an incantation. The words twist in the air and slide into meaning. “Have they gotten everyone in your pantheon into the cells?” Loviatar asks, her voice a dry rasp. “Nearly,” Hel replies. “My father, Loki, hid Fenrir, Narfi, and Vali. That might complicate things. Then again, Father usually only looks out for himself.”
