They had me. "Let me… think about it for a night," I said, closing my eyes in despair. Back in my dark, damp attic room, I shakily opened my old laptop and searched for everything I could find on "Caspian Valerius." What I found made my blood run cold. I’d heard he was ruthless, but I never imagined the chilling titles and stories attached to his name. "The Butcher," "The Night King," "The Monster Who Put a Bullet in His Own Uncle's Head"... every label came with a bloody rumor.

"Let's see what we're doing for today." I clicked a folder on my computer. Employment process and staff checks. The main goal is to fish out Thor's pawns and eliminate them. But how will I know when he always makes sure to avoid suspicion? I twirled on my chair as if it'll make my thought process faster, it did. I stopped and opened a new page on the computer, typed in childhood. Thor doesn't recruit loyal people, he recruits people he has something against. People with something to lose, people like me.

I spoke until my mouth hurt but his only response was that I was interesting? So what do I say to that? Most importantly, how do I convince him to keep my secret? Fuck, I'm so terrible at mind games. Why'd they make me a villain when I'm this dumb? A side character or a nameless extra would have made more sense. This was just so fucking ridiculous. I felt annoyed.

There was no need for him to add his brand new wife to the list. She needed to focus. This man was a villain. He had been the head of a notorious ring of aristocrats that had treated commoners like garbage. She had researched him and his family, she knew all about their crimes. He had only turned everyone in to save his own skin. He wouldn’t trick her. She would watch him. She was sure that he would go back to his old ways, and when that happened she would promptly turn him in. She was sure the king would annul their marriage when that happened.

It was a face from his past, someone who shared his desire for revenge. "Killian Montgomery," George growled, his voice laced with malice. "It seems fate has brought us together once again. And this time, we will make them pay for what they've done." Killian Montgomery, a malevolent figure driven by his own dark ambitions, stepped into the light. His eyes gleamed with a twisted delight, reveling in the prospect of vengeance. A sinister alliance was formed as the two villains joined forces, their malevolence intertwining like tendrils of darkness.

"What about you?" I asked him. Lucius lifted his head proudly. "Blood Wolf." "All right..." I suddenly feel like I'm watching anime with Chris. The names of the villains Chris used to talk about were similar to those guys, which sounds a bit... It's silly. Lucius, however, was very proud of their names, and suddenly brightened his eyes at me and asked, "And you?" "Me what?" I watched him warily. "Maybe you need a new name, too," he said with a sly smile.

It wasn't just that, the villain was taken down by the protagonists because they are the protagonists who had the protagonist's halo. However, those are just my guesses but it is more likely linked to the plot of the novel titled ‘In the name of Psychopaths’. Aren't those so-called protagonists gonna end up destroying the world because of the constant war? They sure do act high and mighty, thinking they wanted to save the world yet in reality, they wanted to rule the world.

She chuckled and took a sip. "Villains are meant to die so they could leave their happy ending." Good point. "We are the villains in this story, correct? We cause misery because we have been drowning in it. But villains are victims too. We just learn to fight for ourselves." I wanted to defend us but she was right. "What's your name?" I asked her. "Jane."

I was truly living the life of a side character, being treated that way by my own brothers. I picked up the pesticide bottle, twisted it open, and poured it straight into my mouth. "What are you doing?!" Charlie screamed in terror, his face turning deathly pale. Even the usually composed Lucas panicked at that moment. "Are you insane? Did you really drink it?" My consciousness grew increasingly hazy, and I thought, 'What's so insane about it?' The original character in that world, Maddison Sherman, was just a villainous side character doomed to die sooner or later anyway. I remembered that the original plot said that she was supposed to die there, but it was by suicide with a knife instead.
