He's a computer science graduate and has been working for the mafia for over a year now. Vincent trust his men but he knew that Vladimir won't be able to dig more information because he's not an expert in getting information about someone and he was certain that Edward is the right person for him to ask for help.

It nearly ruined him.” Lucas frowned. “And now he’s back to settle the score?” Edward nodded. “He’s been rebuilding his empire quietly, waiting for an opportunity to strike. I didn’t think he’d come after you, though. This is my mistake to clean up.”

He didn't wait for him to answer and just read the files in his hand. "Some of their past neighbors had told me about what happened the night that your wife died, Sir. They said they were robbed, but the police say they weren't since everything in the house was intact." "If it wasn't robbery, then what was the motive?" He asked, his gaze still focused on the papers. "Nobody knows. But it took me a couple of months to find out who was responsible for ruining your family's life. A man named Alexander Edwards was the mastermind of all of this mess."

Vincenzo replied, taking a seat opposite the open laptop. “I was hoping we’d get a few more amazing lunches out of you,” Edward teased, a faint smile creeping across his face as he adjusted his glasses. “Would’ve been my pleasure,” Vincenzo shot back, matching the playful jab with his irony as he updated Lily’s chart. “But it’s time to get back to my *wonderful* world,” he added, letting out a short laugh at his own exaggerated flair. “And your wife, is she excited about going back?” Edward asked, resting an arm on the back of his chair.

He offered to take me on as an apprentice.” Julian picked up the card, scanning it. The name rang a bell. If it was the same Edward Hale he was thinking of, that was impressive. For someone of that reputation to make such an offer—Violet must’ve really stood out.

I loved it when a plan came together. The place was a big double story house but not a mansion. He had groves of trees surrounding the property and steps from the double garage led up to a patio and double glass doors. I went back to the bike and drove back towards the guesthouse and the diner where Jules worked. I saw Anthony Campbell’s car at the grocery store and I went inside. He was standing in front of the fruit produce as I walked past him and stopped to look at the oranges and I focused my attention on him.
