Elia collapsed, gasping for air.
Derek caught her before she could hit the ground. “I got you,” he murmured, his voice softer now, the fury in his eyes briefly replaced with concern. “I got you.”
But it wasn’t over.
Not even close.
The rubble stirred.
Then, with a low, guttural growl, Magnus rose.
His body trembled as he pulled himself from the wreckage, dark energy swirling around him like a storm barely contained. His gaze flickered, wild and disoriented, but still dangerous.
