A mother for my son
I walk over to the table, and when I see what’s behind some cardboard boxes, my breath catches.
"Liza, my love! Wake up, please!" I plead, kneeling beside her.
I take her hand, and when I feel her pulse, I let out a sigh of relief. I try to lift her, but when I see that her head is bleeding a little, I lay her back down. I’m about to check her wound when a heavy blow to my back makes me drop my gun.
"Did you really think it would be so easy to take that little girl away?" The man behind me asks. I get back up and stare at him. "Finally, we meet face to face, Carluccio." He says with a smirk on his face.
