She was in pain, so much pain that she was finding it hard to talk yet she still did.
“They are all tied to your blood,” she added.
“What?”
Just as she finished saying that, her hands slumped, her body going lifeless in Maggie's arms.
The woman was dead. "Ma'am?” Maggie's voice trembled, not wanting to believe that the woman had truly left us.
I stood up, tugging at Maggie's hand. “We have to leave, Maggie. She's gone” I told her.
Slowly, she stood up, her eyes blurred with tears. Rushing back to the car, they arrived, surrounding the car, making a circle around us.
