“You won’t be able to walk tomorrow.” In the dark, we fumbled for each other’s clothes. I might have heard a few tearing sounds, but we are too focused on each other to care about anything. “I’m counting on it.”

The night was cloaked in darkness as Abaddon and Axel navigated the dimly lit alleyways, their footsteps muffled by the eerie silence that surrounded them. Abaddon's cold, calculating eyes scanned the area, taking in every detail with a precision that sent shivers down the spines of those who dared cross his path. Axel, on the other hand, wore a twisted grin, his eyes gleaming with a manic light as he twirled a dagger between his fingers.

With slow steps, together we would walk from this darkness. "No, no. This can't be happening." I whispered.

As we crossed the threshold into the chasm, a bone-deep chill seeped into my body. The air was thick and oppressive, carrying whispers that I couldn’t quite decipher. Each step forward felt heavier, as if the darkness itself was trying to hold us back. Dominic kept my hand firmly in his, his warmth a stark contrast to the cold that surrounded us. I asked, pointing at the dark forest in front of us. He looks like he's going to reject me but maybe his curiosity is as big as mine right now. Alex nodded then took my hand in his. Maybe Alex would have been a lot quicker if he had run in his wolf form like the others, but since he was with me we just walked as fast as our legs could go. I followed his steps in the darkness of the forest, the only light illuminating the path we walked on was only the moonlight in the sky at this time.

Footsteps emerged closer to me. "Who..Go…Please…..Don’t…hurt me." I rumble like a weirdo. I clearly remember what happens in the dark, it’s dark and quiet so you think no one will find you but the dark is the devil's hideout, you can’t hide for long only if it’s a trap.

“It’s a nice evening for a stroll.” “You don’t need to walk me home. You should head back.” I add in an afterthought, even though I don’t mind his company. My walk is fifteen minutes through peaceful woods, and a companion isn’t a bad thing. Sometimes it’s spooky in the dark. It's so late that I can hear the nocturnal wildlife nearby and the occasional glowing eyes in the brush. Not that they ever come out to face our kind. Our scent alone keeps them afraid. “I want to. I like having time with just the two of us. We never do it anymore, and I feel like I'm always playing catch-up in your life.”

The chill in that dark place after was rapidly increasing. Emily realized that her friend was scared. She herself also did not want to be in this place for long. They walked straight into the left aisle. The first hallway was dark and eerie as they walked through it. As if someone was hiding there. Same as the right aisle. They met with a date that soared to the top. Diana and Emily tightened their grip even more, strengthening each other.

I say, then exhale in relief when no ghost appears in the keyhole, like in all those horror movies. “And?!” the brunette asks, wringing her hands. “I can’t see anything. Just darkness.” “You do realize I’m never setting foot on this floor again, right?” my friend stares at me half-jokingly, half-terrified. “Don’t exaggerate. You walked here before and nothing happened,” I straighten up and step away from the door. “That was before. Maybe this is why girls are disappearing! And why can you see it, but I can’t?”
