As the transport van approached, the SUV pulled out, matching their speed, flanking them like a shadow.
"No," Zane whispered, his breath hitching. "Kane... Kane wouldn't."
The driver of the van suddenly cut the wheel. There was no screeching of brakes, no attempt to correct the slide. It was a deliberate, surgical maneuver. The heavy vehicle slammed into the concrete barrier, the impact jarring Zane’s teeth. The van spun, the metal groaning as it was pinched between the barrier and the black SUV that was now ramming them with the force of a battering ram.
